Harana, wish to have it back...

I'm a Filipina and I'm proud to be one. Part of our culture is the courtship that occurs between a man and a woman. Harana or serenade is one of the most famous type of courtship, however it gradually faded until this generation. I've always wished to be courted this way, how about you? Do you wish the same? or if you're a man would you court a lady in such a way?

I'd definitely court my girl by serenading her. Unfortunately I never had the chance to do that to her now that we're married. I have plans of doing that in the future though, but it won't be like the way it's supposed to be done. And I already have the perfect song in mind... wish me luck! :p

Yeah, guys should know we ladies like to be serenaded... too bad they don't do Harana anymore. Tsktsktsk. They (the guys) should start bringing back the harana culture... haaaay.

Yes! Either in a traditional harana way or in a modern way..anything will do..^^ The thought gives me goosebumps and places butterflies on my stomach..It's so sincere and warm..^^ I had a friend who was courted this way, she was courted in the middle of the day through harana, the guy brought an amplifier and an electric guitar with him...and serenaded her in the balcony..It was such a nice scene^^
