People are strange

There are 2 neighbors that I don't like in my community. One lives on my block, the other lives around the corner from me.
When they are around other people, they are the first ones to say hello to me but when they are alone and I wave or say hello to them, they completely ignore me.
What is up with that? What are they trying to prove in front of other people?

Yes,I too have met such neighbours many a times.Its really annoying and it also upsets me a lot.I feel dejected.I think its an ego-problem with them.Its really insulting.

I think so too. It's like they want to show how nice they are in front of others but in reality it's all an act.

Hi, seabeauty. It sounds like they are really trying to impress other people when they are around them. They are showing off so that others will see them as popular. They may be trying to flow with the crowd, if you know what I mean. Don't let it bother you, because sooner or later their true self will have to come out when they are not around these other people.
