My Dogs bark at each other, why?

I have two dogs, one labrador and one daschund. They are very naughty and active (only 2 years old). They play and run around a lot. But one thing I always wander is why is my Daschund bark at the labrador very loudly at the face. They are not fighting.

Maybe they are just trying to talking to one another. that would be my guess. But of course my dog likes to bark when he sees a spider in the house. I think it to warn us about it being in the house.

Ha ha...ya maybe they are communicating with each other. Only if I could understand their language.

Just his way of communicating his excitement and playfulness, I would guess. We have three dogs; one is a beagle/sheltie mix and she loves to bark. She barks at the other two dogs when they are playing, barks at the grandkids when they run through the house or are horseplaying, and barks at balls or balloons being thrown through the air. Some dogs are just more vocal than others, like people!

Ya, my daschund is definately more vocal. it is very cute when a smaller dog barking at the bigger one.

Dachshunds bark at everything. LOL Most likely, the Dachshund is trying to play big man on the totem pole with the Labrador and the Labrador is probably like "Yeah right buddy, I'm 10 times bigger than you! :)
