I read in my mind. Whatever the type of the book be. That started with my sister studying with me and hence i could not read aloud. Since then on i have practiced to read in my mind and quite good now :) And we never get tired also. Earlier when i used to read aloud, i used to keep constantly drink water, for what purpose i donno, might be the throat.

I understand easily when I read it silently, I mean I can percieve more indept thoughts when I read by my mind and I can read in length too when reading silently unlike reading out loud. Although, when I memorize things I read it loud and repeatedly, lol. But most often I just do it silently.

I think it is easier for me to read silently. If I read out loud I find that I lose my place too easily. I think sometimes it's harder for me to read out loud for that reason. I like to do a lot of things silently it seems lol. Like you torch I can percieve indept thoughts better when I am reading silently.

I'm always reading in my mind. The only way og getting tired is the strain on the eyes. It's quite difficult for me to read aloud unless i am doing it for someone else.

When reading for myself I always read silently. But I often read books to young children, which must be done aloud. I have gotten a sore throat from reading aloud so much when my children were younger.

When I am reading my own books, I always read silently. It's not only quicker, but there are a lot of things in my books that I wouldn't want my children to hear. I do read out loud every day though, when I read to my children. When you get used to it, your throat won't hurt. Some days I have to read them ten or fifteen books, but it's better than letting them watch too much television.

I prefer to read silently, considering I spend a lot of time reading. First, it will not disturb anybody around me, and it will allow me to go through the book quickly. However, once in a while, I might read a poem aloud, or some interesting piece that just begs to be read aloud. But that is a rarity. So yes, silent reading is the thing for me.

I read to myself unless I'm reading to a group of people in which case I need to talk, of course. Reading out loud when there's no one to hear you sounds crazy to me although people do it on buses which makes me wonder about them.

Usually, I read to myself. I block everyone out and focus only on the lines I am reading. There are times I read out loud because I need to hear myself say it for some reason. I can't really explain it. Liv

I always read silently in my mind. I can never read loud, once actually tried reading loud as my friend advised it helps my studies. All I got is a sore throat, so back to silent reading again

I prefer to read in mind, but it got nothing to do with a reason to reduce to get tired. I'm easily get tired and took a lot of effort when I have to read something uninteresting to me or even too complex subject. I can read a whole days if the subject is interesting enough to me. Yes it is faster to read in mind...
