What if you hear sounds or feel...

We were on holiday, and stayed at a hotel. The place was old, but the room was clean, and there was no unpleasant smells. In the middle of the night, I felt a presence in the room..and then a weight on me. I dare not open my eyes; I could hear my husband snoring away next to me. I felt warmth, but was scared, and then started praying. The weight and warmth left.... I kept my eyes closed until I dozed off. Next day when we were on the plane, I told my hubby about it. He told me that he had felt uneasy; but thought that was because he was tired, and so didn't mention it to me. He was totally tired out; so he had slept through the night! What if you felt a presence in your room at night? Or heard sounds in the bathroom? What would you do?

I have felt a person in the room before and Everyone was in bed. I and my poodle went to bed. I was tired and was trying to go to sleep when a hand start sliding up my leg and all the way up to my neck and pulled my hair aside and then I felt a kiss on my neck. My thoughts at first were my husband woke up and found that I was in bed with him and came searchimg for me. I turned to look and no one, not no one was there. I knew immediatly what it was, a spirit in the home. I told him to go away I'm trying to go to sleep...in the name of God left my home. He did and I went to sleep. We have had many things happen here because of spirits.

I have known and sensed things all of my life. That's why I'm not afraid of them. I have been in this house for almost 12 years. Yes, there have been several here. One lady here from the first at being here. I have had an evil one here that tried to enter me, now that was the awfullest feeling I have ever had and I'll never forget it. I'm just very lucky that I'm stronger than him. I cleaned my home and got rid of him. Everyone that has slept in the room I was in that night has felt in more ways than one a presents in that room. It tried to get with all of the ladies. Even my son, I guess he couldn't tell because of the long hair that he was a guy. He was playing with my sons hair. My son and daughter both told me they weren't sleeping in that room ubntil I got rid of the spirit that was in there. SO I did.

Hi Moondancer, this is even more frightening! You really are brave...! How long have you stayed in this house? Were you aware of the spirits? I suppose they don't disturb you or your family; just a presence there?

Dear Moonlit, me too. If we had to stay one more night there, I'd freak out - most likely to move to another hotel. I definitely wouldn't want a midnight visitor again!

you should have asked the motel or look up online and see if anyone has blogged about the same problem.. a lot of people post on haunted boards/sites where they have had experiences so other people can check it out.. i stayed at a haunted hotel but had no probs lol.. i guess they may go after people not expecting it more..

Hello lazeebee! I have experienced a lot of these since I was younger. When I was younger, I would really freak out. Later on though, when a friend of mine, an expert in paranormal activities told me that I have a third eye, things changed. I don't easily get afraid of anything like unusual sounds or unpleasant smell or anything. I must admit though that I can also get goosebumps. I get scared when what I feel is more than just the presence of spirits.

Wow, I would feel scared....you know, a feeling of some presence near you, or a flash of movement from your peripheral vision. Would you watch horror movies then?

First of all I think I would freeze up right away. I would not dare open my eyes that's for sure. I know I would be saying Our Fathers and Hail Marys and Glory Be over and over again! Where did this happen? Was it in England or? I know that England is supposed to be quite haunted. I just don't know though. That is frightening - what a way to ruin your holiday! Has anything like that ever happened to you before? Have a nice day and happy myLotting!!!

Not England, in East Malaysia. We have our fair share of ghosts and hauntings here! Fortunately it was the last night of the vacation; we were flying home the next day, so it was fine. If we had to stay one more night, I'd have moved to another hotel. I was not keen to have a midnight visitor again! Thanks for responding and have a good day!

If I'd been at home and such a think had happened I would assume that one of the dogs had snunk into the bedroom and sat on me! However, away from home no such explanation is possible. I'm glad to say I've never had an experience similar to that. On the odd occassions where I've heard strange sounds they have been easily explained once I have calmed myself down. The house where we live in just now is full of peculiar sounds. It is so badly insulated that noise travels really easily, but mutates on the way so it sounds weird and rather scary when it reaches your ears.

I would be scared! I think I would pray too! That must have been frightening? Where was the hotel? In Europe somewhere?

Hi, this was in a town hotel in East Malaysia. We had earlier spent a few days at a beach hotel, and then decided to visit the town, and so spent a night at a hotel there.
