Millions of people waited Friday night by their cell phones with bated breath in anticipation of the long awaited announcement of BHO's running mate! As their phones chirp, ring, buzz or sing their expectation reaches a crescendo as they open their inbox and finally see the name!! JOE BIDEN!! Joe Biden!??? Didn't he die last week or month or isn't he expected to pretty soon?
All joking aside, this announcement must have caused a few heart attacks and more than a few rage related cell phone insurance claims! The new politician, the "healer" of the country the "messiah" of the democratic party----goes old school??!! If anyone here believes that BHO chose this man to run with him on his own, please private message me because I have some nice land in the Florida keys I would like to make you a fantastic deal on!!
BHO is a puppet of the DNC and this is only made more obvious by the choice of running mate! The choice of Joe Biden as VP on the ticket with Obama makes the slogan "a change you can believe in" the biggest oxymoron of this election year! Even the DNC is too arrogant to see they had the election sewed-up by just putting Hillary on the ticket! Of course that assumes that Hillary even wanted on the ticket with this puppet!

Obama chose Biden because they complement each other. Of course, critics would have slammed him either way. If he chose someone who was just like him, the ticket would be called "too radical". And with the choice he made, the criticism is that he somehow "betrayed himself".
I think Biden's a fine choice, and the fact that these two people both have the same goal at heart is a positive sign in general.

Actualy I kinda like Biden. I am a polar oposite on him from about every issue but he's a good choice, provided he doesn't talk Obama out of the run. He has a long record of good service and walks the talk he talks. He says what he means whether you like it or not and he doens't mince words when he is telling you.

Obama's direction hasn't changed. His policies haven't changed. His goal hasn't changed. And Biden is on board with all of those things.
If Obama was exactly the same except that he had all of John McCain's policies, he would be "washington as usual". In the same way, if McCain had all of Obama's policies and position, he would be the 'change candidate' despite all his years in Washington etc.
Your baseless allegation that the DNC is 'pulling the strings' makes no difference. Obama's the candidate that doesn't want this country to go down the same path it's been going for the last eight years, and McCain isn't.
For the record, VP picks rarely make much of a difference to me anyway, but Obama could have done worse. As I've said many times, Obama could be a LOT worse and still be far preferable to a third Bush term.
If you want another four years of these failed policies, please, vote for McCain. However, if you are one of the 81% who feel that this country is on the wrong track, then jump the rails and don't allow more power to be given to the party that has proven its inability to govern properly.

ClarusVisum,
Again, spoken like a true BHO blind faithful! You, Annie, Zepher and a few others here on MyLot could care less about substance or leadership ability and would blindly follow this puppet anywhere he would lead you! Tell me, if you can, just why did Obama abandon his "a change you can believe in" and buy into Washington as usual?
My answer to this question is simple; it wasn't BHO's choice! The DNC now has someone with a shot at the whitehouse the they can pull the strings on and they are already demonstrating that ability!

I would imagine injury was only added to by insult, the insult of being awoken at 3 in the morning by a text messege informing them of the vp pick. Although I realize many people we're greatly anticipating the news, I can't imagine anyone but his most obsessed supporters couldn't wait until daylight to hear about it. I don'tknow, it seemed a bit rude and inconsiderate to me. Quirky too. He is starting to sound more like Prince (or the artist fromerly known as) than a candidate. It was just a wierd thing to do.

Xfahctor,
Thanks for the comment! I believe it is just another indication of just how arrogant this man really is! The idea that people would be salivating over their cell phones awaiting the "messiah's" chosen one! Give me a break!!

Biden represents everything that Obamoron claims to be against, namely lobbyists, big business, oil, and special interests groups.

This one shows something that occurred 25 years ago and smacks of special favors and maybe buying influence by big business... namely the credit card industry.

I have seen where Obamoron actually said Biden has represented change in Congress for the last 32 years.
I consider Biden and every other career politician in Congress to be a part of the problem, not an agent of change.
Of course this is the type of doublespeak that we have come to expect from the liberals.

I don't think Hillary really wanted the job of playing second fiddle to Obama as his vp. However, her "rejection" is sure to provide plenty of fodder at the convention for die-hard Hillarions. I think Obama is so inexperienced and has no real leadership qualities to offer, he will always be a puppet of the Democratic Party. Nancy Pelosi and Joe Biden will be calling the shots.
