When you get a flat tire, who changes the tire?

Do you change the tire yourself, or someone passing by that is willing to help or do you call someone for help (AAA or someone else)?

AAA is who I would call or my dad. I am not good at changing tires though I have not had it happen to me as of yet. My car has broken down on me but not my tires. LOL

I have always been lucky to not have been alone when I had a flat tire. My husband or my son has always been there to change it for me. Otherwise, I would probably call someone or All State Motor Club.

That is good that you have had someone there to do that for you instead of being alone.

I call the car club or if their is a tyre repair place near by I try and get to that...I don't have the strength to undo the nuts or whatever to try and change it myself although I have been shown how to do it....

I have not had this happen to me as of yet but I would call AAA to help me since I am a member and it would not cost me anything.

Well, This is a true story, I once had a flat tire on the side of the highway while I was traveling with my family. The kids were sleeping in the back and a guy in a yellow shirt and jeans randomly walks out of the middle of nowhere in the woods and asks me If I need help. We got the donut out of the trunk and he helped me put it on. I drove to the nearest shop to get the tire fixed. I still do believe to this day that was an angel.

I would if I knew how....The only time I've been in a vehicle and had a tire go flat I was with my dad and he took care of it. I would prolly give it a go though, I'm pretty sure I could figure it out.

Someone other than me. I remember onetime, I was going to work and I had a flat tire, I called my husband because I didn't know who else to call. So, he told me to call one of those gas stations in town. I did and it took them any hour to come to get me. I never learned how to change a flat tire, it's hard. So, I depend on others to help.

Good answer plus if you are on the highway I wouldn't feel too safe with other cars driving by. That stinks that it took them an hour to come help you. :-( My car broke down on me on time on a major roadway and it took AAA at least 4 hours before they got to me. :-(
