Which one do you prefer for a pet - Dog or cat?

Always dogs..I have two dogs and when I come home they run right up to me wagging their tails and rubbing their faces on me..I love them,I think no animal can love people like that.I don't think cats love people.Have a nice day and cheers..

I prefer dogs, I have neither at the time. If I got a bet It would be a dog, my daughter have a dog I call her my grand dog. Pets these days are expensive to keep you have to take care of them like you would your children. The laws with pets are very strict now and that is a good thing. I like kittens. I never really took to cats as pets.

Well to start with I don't trust cats. And I don't think that they trust me either, I can see it in their eyes. I do love dogs and have had a few over the years. I like a dog, like a Lab, that are gentle and don't mind being mauled by little kids. Our last dog, Shadow, was like this and I never felt uncomfortable when friends and family visited, but my son has a Pitbull, Honey, who is a sweet heart and loves people but I would not trust her around anyone that comes to visit, even though she has never hurt or bitten anyone. She just doesn't bring out that trusting feeling. We do love her though.

obviously dog any day. dogs are touted as mans best friend. also dog i feel are more lovable and can be easily trained plus can be a good guardians. i find cats little bit aggressive and cunning and don't find myself connected with them to that extent.

I prefer a cat, even tho my own cat drives me nuts. LOL.

I am definatly a dog person from the word go. I have only had one cat myself that I have really bonded with since I moved out of my parents house.I am 42 now so that tells you how long that has been LOL. I just feel that dogs have the most wonderful personalities and cuddly and playful. Where as cats seem to be more aloof most of the time. I like to give hugs and cuddles so Dogs are for me.

I have never liked cat but I have few cats at home owned by my daughter. I like dogs better and I have a pet dog which is very obedient and understand my command.
