India is a Country where there is "Unity in Diversity". India is a secular country which allows practicing all kinds of religions and thsts a very nice thing. Also we have a democratic country so that there is no kind of partiality or dictatorship. We have know well known all over the world for our various cultures and ethics. And moreover Indians are very friendly people (few exceptions are always there) India has one of the best holiday spots in the world which attracts thousands and thousands of tourists every year and that is Goa. One of the most beautiful states in the country. A few things i dislike about India is that there is a lot of corruption, the cleanliness is very poor out here and also Internet connections in India are horrible, and a good connection costs a lot and is difficult to afford for the common man.

I saw on TV that the food is good there! My husband saw the saw tv program and wants to try Indian food. I imagine stucco buildings and sand and women with veils. Alot of very good doctors here in the U.S. are from India, so I imagine that there are some very smart hard working people there. I also imagine that the people therea re very religious.

India is a vast country with rich culture. The country is spread and has an even length and breadth. being a stretched nation the geographical conditions vary from place to place. It has the great Himalayas to the north and east while the Arabian sea on the west. The south is Indian Ocean. The country has a rich history that may be dated back to the Indus Valley Civilization. The Aryans are thought to be the first to visit India. Dravidian's are the locals. through out history India has been on attack by outside forces because of the rich heritage India has. It was once called the golden bird. Even the British ruled India for around 200 years during the imperialistic era. The culture and customs in the country go hand in hand with the fast moving time. While the western culture has highly influenced Indian society it is highly evident from the social framework that most of the old age customs are still being followed. Being a democratic the country is home to many different religions, languages, cultures and customs. With more than 15 languages and 1000 dialects the country is surely the most diverse in the whole world. But one has to acknowledge that the country has its negativities too. High corruption rate, caste system, religious riots, terrorism, illiteracy, and poverty have been pulling the country down on the international platform. The only things that seem to unite the country the best are cricket and movies. India is not a super power in the world of spot. Struggles to earn a few medals in Olympics. Hockey seemed to be the safest bet for medals but has failed to qualify for the Olympics for the first time in Beijing. Cricket has been a much better foray for India. have won an ODI world cup and a 20-20 world cup. To put in a nut shell India is a great place to visit. You can enjoy the unity in diversity which is the hallmark of this country.
