Hi All, Beijing Olympics ended yesterday with a spectacular show . I liked the Opening as well as closing shows . As for the Sports events ;it was memorable from Indian Point of view with 2 Bronze and 1 Gold. Not much ;considering that even Zimbabwe and Dominician Republic and Belgium won more medals ;still it has been a great progress . We won just 1 Medal since 1996 to 2004 . In 1984 Los Angeles Olympics , 1988 Seoul Olympics and 1992 Barcelona Olympics;Indian contingent drew a blank - not a memorable stuff. Aprt from that ,I liked Michael Phelps' feat ,Usain Bolt's record braking effort and China's dominance . What all did you liked ? From your country's view as well as otherwise ? Please do share . Regards Ptrikha_2

Hello,I think all those athletes, volunteers and organizers did a fantastic job. It's so nice to hear those compliments from you especially that i am a chinese,it indeed make me proud. Well,i like the part that even Emmons accidently lost the gold medal which should be given to him,he went to hug the winner, that's what olympics is about,i think.

I only got a glimpse of the opening show since I was gone that night. But the closing show of the Olympics was gorgeous. I just hate what the kids had to go through in their lives to be in those shows. China isn't a country known for freedom of the people. Glad to see your country wasn't completely shut out. I like to see all participating countries get medals. I was really impressed with the Jamaicans in their runs. Bolt was something else, wasn't he! I was happy to see Michael Phelps in his clean sweep of gold medals. And all the guys who swam with him on relays were great! I was also happy to see the American women gymnastic winners and also the men's Basketball team winning the gold. That was a very exciting game when they beat Spain for the gold medal. But I think the games I liked most and looked forward to were the beach volleyball games. I watched both the men's and women's teams win their gold. It was a very exciting time. Seeing Walsh and Misty May win in the rain and Misty being able to spread her Mom's ashes was something. Their reaction on their win, rolling around in the sand, was worth every minute I sat up to watch! I suppose I watched more of the Olympics this year than I've ever watched. I generally never watch the races and I even watched parts of those. It was just an exciting time. It's going to be a long 4 years waiting for some of these athletes to go to London for the 2012 Olympics. But we know that Michael Phelps will be there, considering he was there yesterday at the ending of the Olympics, pledging his return.

I liked Usain Bolt, and Ann-Fraser's victory. Just about that. Phelps victory was impersonal to me since I didn't watch him swim, and swimming is not one of my loves. I couldn't be happy for China, it's just a mass-production factory with no ethics and principals, I was happy that the USA won most medals even though China got more golds.

Thanks for responding . However;I believe that China does not have a "mass Production " Factory of Athletes. It "has" seriously worked on producing a Sports-Excellence culture in their country .
