Or can anyone do it with the natural ease. ( For lack of a better word ). You see some people that try to flirt that just don't seem to quite have it down. So do you think flirting is a skill or do you think it comes natural to all people.

It doesn't come naturally to all people. Some people use flirtation playfully and others use it as a means to an end. Some people are natural flirts while others simply don't have a clue and their actions are blatant or transparent.

By "means to an end" I mean the person flirting gets the one they are flirting with to do what they want...whether it's a relationship entered into or a casual fling.

I agree that some are playfully with their flirting. I'm not sure how you could use it as a means to an end.? And yes there are a lot of people that just don't have a clue what they are doing. Thanks for the comment........;-)

Not always. It can be just flirting.

I believe it's both. Some have to learn it, some are born with it. A natural flirt however, doesn't always have the look or the money, but always has his or her way with the opposite gender. For those who are not born with it, I guess first of all they need to improve their look or pocket size to be able to do it.

LOL just my 2 cents I never learn how to flirt and I don't know if I am a flirt naturally either never pay much attention to that before although I have met some natural flirts drove girls crazy while they are just manipulating them

OMG, your right. There are so many men that flirt with girls, and manipulate them. And it happens before girls even know it.

So, a natural flirt isn't always good looking or wealthy. But they are smooth while flirting. For all other get a job, and a make over. That is so funny.

Flirting is definitely a skill especially with women. There are some that are better at it than others. There is a fine line between between flirty and being s1utty. A women who is good at it is never s1utty and can wrap men around their fingers with their feminine charms!

But men who only want to flirt, can't be wrapped. If you only flirting then men know the difference. And the stay a distance. I do agree with woman need to know the difference in flirting and being s1utty. We need to know what charm is......;-))

I see it as an art, darlin. And you can call me Picasso!!! I've flirted since I came out of the womb. When the doctor smacked me on my bottom, I winked at him, and said, "oooh, smack me again"!! It hasn't been long since I had this conversation with a friend, and we conceded that Southern women flirt the best. We're born to it. And you don't necessarily have to be "from" the South either - you can be a "belle" at heart, and consider yourself every bit as Southern as a Georgia peach. My daddy's people happen to be from Tennessee and although I was born in Illinois, I'm as Southern as they come, when it comes to flirting, femininity, and cooking. And I don't think it comes naturally to all people. I think some people have to study on it, as it were, and learn the techniques, just like acting class. But it CAN be learned. One just has to devote oneself to it, and prioritize it. It just takes dedication.

You're from Tennessee!! I love it!! No wonder I'm attracted to you! We do have that flirting thing down, don't we? Seems to be something in the genes, dontcha think? Flirting class sounds perfect!! We could share dual professorships! But we'd have to get Angelwhispers in with us, darlin, because she's tops in her field when it comes to flirting, trust me on this one. In fact, she did a discussion a while back about southern women being the best flirts. And this one brought that one back to me, and it was so much fun, as this one is. Wow, it just kills me that you're from Tennessee, swear to god. That is just too cool. We Tennessee women will flirt with anyone, man, woman, old, older, young too of course. We're just born to it! So nice to have another Southern flirt among us, especially one from the Great State of Tennessee!!!!!!

Hey Nova, Sorry I just got back to your message. It is great that we're both from the same state. Your right about the flirting thing. We will flirt with any age. Why is that. Right now I find I'm attracted to younger guys. Not that I want them or any thing, I just like to flirt with them. I work with this one guy, we have been flirting around for 2 years. We're both married. Nothing will ever happen and we both no that. He was trying to flirt today and I wouldn't play. He told me, " fine I'll just stop and not flirt any more, and then you'll miss it ". I just told him that he'd be back, he always comes back. I think he's addicted to flirting with me. He tries to stop, and he does for a month or so and he always comes back. Ever had anyone like that? We kinda of tease each other. Because we both know we can't have each other, but we flirt, and talk dirty back and forth........... He's only two yeays younger than me.

Flirting is a skill. We all have the capacity to do it, it's just that some have a greater talent for it. Back in Victorian times, women were taught how to flirt. It was part of the mating ritual and very much an art form. Today, it's no longer an art form. It's a means to an end only and the only people I know who can do it honestly and truly successfully are real Southern Belles. Sadly, I'm Canadian. I couldn't flirt my way out of a paper bag to save my life! LOL

Maybe that's why I'm so good at it. I think I may even be getting a little better. I trying to learn to have a little mystery to me. When your flirting, for some reason guys like that. Or at least it makes them come back. Don't you think. Nova says southern woman are best at flirting also.

Yeah I think that their is an element of skill in it and confidence too, if someone is not confident in themselves then it will fall on its face! I used to be a huge flirt, I worked and lived in a pub from a young age though so it was kind of just a natural thing for me to do!!

Hey walk, I think it is a skill and it's does come naturally to some people more than to others. I do think that some people are just better at it. It is definitely easier the prettier and more confident you are. Alot of it does have to do with self confidence. I believe that is the most important thing. If you feel good about yourself than others will see that in you and you will "shine" as my boyfriend says! I can be a flirt if I want to, at least now I can. But there was a time that I was feeling too badly about myself and I couldn't. It's all in the attitude.
