Do you think its all in your head or do you think its real? I have it myself so I know its real. But what are your opinions on it?

I think it is real. I know personally if I don't get enough seretonum (sp?) I get a little crazy. So I try to get plenty of sun or visit a tanning bed every so often. It makes a big difference. The only thing I watch out for is to not get a lot of sun because I think it looks bad on people who are too dark from tanning.

I definitely know Bipolar is real and I live with my fiance who has Bipolar so I know the extremes of it ... from the manias to the depressive moods and back. It's a constant struggle for him and I wish that more could be done. Even after many medications, its hard to watch the one's you love suffer with something so severe. Bipolar takes so much from the persons who suffer from it .. I think this is the unfair part ... it can strain other areas of your life too. I hope one day we find more ways to improve this for all the people who suffer. God bless you all.

BBipolar Disorder is an imbalance of the neurotransmisors (that are the chemicals that are release from one neuron (brain cell) to other to transmit information. They play a key roll in your emotions. Get more information in this site. Good Luck! Source(s): http://www.abilify.com/abilify/channels/...

My opinion on this is yes it is real. My son is bipolar. He is on meds for this condition. He has adhd and epileptic. He was weaned off his meds for the epilepsy as he did not have any seizures for a couple years. Then after that the bipolar came out like gang busters. He now have put him back on the meds and things are much better. I know that it is hard to live with this. It is real.

I have had it all my life, so I know it's real. I don't take any medication for it any more. I spend a lot of time on my computer, and I have insonmnia, too, so I probably should. I have been in a manic phase for a while. I just don't trust any of the current meds. Most of them are really designed for people with epilepsy, and I hate that groggy feeling. How about you?
