I have being taking Rebif the shot treatment for multiple sclrosis since 2002. I have lost chunks of my hair in the past and I didn't think to much of it sense I have thick hair but now I am really concerned. I am losing a lot at the top of hair on the top of my head. This is really scary. I am calling my nerologist tommorrow to find out if I need to lower my dosage or what. I just turned 36 almost 2 weeks ago. It is kind of scary to think I might have to get a wig. Anyhow I was wondering if anyone else that has M.S. and takes Rebif has experienced this? I don't want to be a bald female. This has me pretty upset seeing myse;f in the mirrior.

i'm on a chemotherapy and i didn't think much of losing my hair at first as well as i got a very thick strands of hair..for the last 2 months i still got my hair but its thinner than it was before..you will not even notice i am losing it because outside it looks normal not unless i let you see the inside then you will notice i lose a lot of it inside..in december time or before it i guess i'll be completely losing all my hair..i cut it already..i got a very long hair before now its a very short one and getting thinner and thinner...i might be a bald woman in no time soon..and it has frustrated me thinking i will be bald..

Ohhh..I am sure Shaun the neorologist will be able to help you, just don't worry too much! Do not stress yourself a lot, for sure there are preventive measures for that! I haven't experienced that so I cannot relate!
Hope you will get great tips from members here who have the same experience!

The hair is a woman's crowing glory... and losing a lot of it can be upsetting... i have a problem with falling hair myself... but never in chunks... only when i comb my hair... i definitely agree that you should talk to the doctor about this... he/she should have warned you about such effect of taking the medicine...
But if it cannot be helped... then i think you should consult a hair beautician on the best way to handle the situation...
