Do you feel jealous of the discussions that get a lot of responses?

I have come through a lot of topics that have got 40-90 responses and there I become green with envy with the user who started the discussion. I just imagine how much he/she would have earned just for that single discussion. According to my calculations a user would have earned about 50 cents for a discussion which attracted 90 responses. And then I slap myself for not thinking of that topic before. Do you also get jealous of the discussions that get a lot of responses? I hope this one gets.

Well I can not say that you can call it jealousy. I do wonder how they get so many responses, but at the same time I know it's because they somehow became popular. Without that possibility I would say that the responders are not only those that are friends with them but also those who are attracted to the discussion. If you have a lot of friends most likely you'll get more responses but I don't really worry about having too many friends on my friends list. I'm happy if i'm on today's top discussions because that means the discussion has been rated a lot.

No I don't because I understand all of us have preferences. We may have posted the right discussion but yet getting few responses due to so many factors. My mind is open to certain probabilities, you know. I am very much happy though for those people who are the lucky ones to have gotten as much as 90 or more responses. CHEERS!

Well, I cannot honestly say I get jealous, but I am puzzled why some people get lots of responses and others do not. I have been on Mylot for a long time and I get few responses to my discussions and yet I have seen other people get tons of responses for very similar topics. It could be that some people are more popular than others, some people have lots of friends who always respond, some have friends who are not as often on Mylot. I really don't know, now I stick mostly to anwering topics that interest me. The money for me is just like the icing on a cake.

Hi linda, All you said was true that the Friend factor influences your responses a lot. Maybe getting more friends is the key to getting more responses.

I don't feel jealous at all if a topic gets many replies. In fact we could learn from that user what kind of topics to start of so that we have many people replying to it. Also sometimes is pure luck that many see the particular topic and start replying to it. Please don't slap yourself mate for this as its something bound to happen. Just be chill and keep posting your stuff and i'm sure there would be topics of yours too that many would reply too. In fact i would like to congratulate those people who make topics that get so many responses Hehehe.. ts real fast money for them.

Thanks dude By the way, your avatar is really cute. Yes, we always learn new kind of topics to pick from the topics we see gaining a high response rate. Those people earn real fast with those extra-ordinary topics.

Good day..Honestly yes I do. I mean the highest responses that I got from my thread was around 20-30 and I've got only two of those considering I'm close to my 2000th posts. But rather just bickering about it I would let it serve as my critic and inspiration that maybe someday I'll encourage more responses than before.

Yes Blackmantra, seeing those discussion always act as an inspiration to start better and more useful topics. Best of luck for reaching your 2000th post as early as you can.

no, but it does surprise me that discussions which are frequently repeated or very similar to others seem to attract so many responses - but,I suppose there are constantly new members joining who haven't seen them. I think there are a number of factors which affect how many responses are received and not all of them are related to the quality.

I get jealous at times, because even if the topics I made have a little or no sense to others, I really wanted it to be filled with good and honest responses. Guess my queries will remain like that, empty and hollow. And then I tend to look at those discussions gaining many responses, and think to myself "Why are those discussions getting responses? Is mine terrible or out-of-the-world enough not to get some too?" I guess that's just how the way things go...You cannot force others to answer your every questions...it saddens me a lot. But then to those who responded I love them so much. Heehee. But I don't think about earnings...I really wanted some honest responses, and then I don't get some. And I see those discussions that have very simple everyday questions like "what is love" and everyone's getting the hype about it...

I used to when I was still new to mylot. But I was hopeful that in time I would receive a higher number of responses (100 or more), and I have. Hopefully you will too! Good luck!

Hi there! I don't feel jealousy but more of an inspiration and challenge that I tell myself I can also make a post that can receive a lot of responses. Making a quality post is really hard. We don't really know what can make others respond to our post. There are a lot of users here from all over the world and it's hard to get someone's interest from topics that we post. If I make a post, I don't expect to much from it. If I receive a lot of responses well then good, if not its ok. I just continue posting and responding and not let myself be bothered by it. Ciao!

Hi Ajrox, you are doing pretty well yourself - at this count, you have about 40 responses. Well, don't feel too bad or 'green'; all of us have our good and bad days! I've even started with 0 responses before; so I left the discussion for a few weeks, until one kind soul responded, and so it was out of the 0 response category! So have fun and keep posting!

*L* No, I don't get jealous. I do get aggravated that the ones that ask a one line question, like, What color is your cell phone?, gets 3 or 4 pages of responses, when an intelligent, legitimate discussion sits there for days with 1 or 2 responses. Jealous, though? Naaa. I am doing fine doing what I am doing, and getting the few responses I do get, when I start a discussion.

It's true that very simple and easy-going topics earn a lot of responses while sensible and topics that indulge you to think are never able to see the face of a 2-digit response.

Hi... Nice to meet you here. Yes of course. One of my referral tell me that she has reach 62 response from one of her discussion. I really feel jealous while heard that. I also keep on thinking what is the most popular topics that will respond by all the mylotters. But the problem is do we get more money from the response? I keep on respond to others peoples discussion and found out that discussion about life is the most popular and responded by most of the mylotters. So i will try to start more discussion on life. Happy Myloting!!!

Yes it is a really jealous feeling when we see discussions with such a high response. I also have noticed people responding a lot under the "life" category since that has really interesting questions. Also, discussions under "make extra money" get loads of responses too. So if you are interested in it, it can help you. Thanks for your response. Happy myLotting.

If I get one I can judge myself that I am good enough to get Best responses. And about my discussion, I start very few discussion, and hardly they get 6 to 10 responses and most of the responses will be from my frineds. Anyways I never felt jealos about others... Even This discussion got lot of responses isn'it..?

Yes, even this discussion has got 40 responses so far. It's getting popular, I hope so. You are lucky that your discussions get 6 to 10 responses, some of my discussions get only about 1-3 responses and some are left without any response. You will get jealous in a situation like me, if you can understand my feelings. Anyways, thanks a lot for responding.
