My mom is the kindest person I know. And im not just saying that because I am a momma’s boy. I’m saying that because whatever she deals with (good, bad) she is always kind to the people she talks to. I have never seen her loose her cool. My dad is quite the opposite, he screams and yells when he gets mad, getting all worked up and isn’t really kind to people who don’t deserve it. Do you think being kind helps maintain power? And for that reason, is it really the greatest wisdom we can have?

My mother is also the kindest,I think. She almost never refuse others' request. Previously,I didn't agree with her foolish behavior. But,she wins lots of respect at the same time. She told me help others gives her happiness. She has many friends, and they like talking with my mother. They often gather together to pour out their sadness. Therefore, there are many 'parties' on vocations. Maybe, you should listen to your mother's answer.

Hi skenthal this is such a nice post! I feel kindness, empathy is such a beautiful thing. It comes from within. This earns so much respect from others! On the other hand, impoliteness, rudeness is so bad! No one would like someone who is not respectful. As in your case, ppl are subservient to your father more out of fear and not out of respect. And his is but temporary. At one time in life he would lose it all. On the contrary kindness never loses it power. Love and kindness is the most powerful thing on earth! Happy living.

I have know a couple of mega kind people in my life, they were such beautiful people but unfortunaltely I saw them being taken advantage of, I hope you look after your mum because beautiful people like this are sometimes just too kind for their own good...I usually call people like this earth angels...
