In my opion no it is not all about me. In fact very little is about me. It is about God.It is about his purpose for my life. Because basically he is the one that gives life purpose. I want everyone to feel as fulfilled as I do and I do not believe that is possible without the our Lord and Savior. What do you think?

I do not believe in God, but I do understand that other people do and are very devoted to their religion, so I try not to fire up any debates about it unless I am hounded about the subject. But I think that I have to come first. I am not a parent, and so at this point I have to work on improving me and being a better person and making my life have meaning, and keeping upbeat. When I am ready to make commitments with other people, I will likely put them ahead of me. I think having devotion is very important and a part of giving life meaning. All human beings search for meaning, and some have God for this. I do not, but I look to others for it.

*enter the Devil's Advocate* Everyone is entitled to their religious beliefs. I am not here to question that. I just think that it's very sad that you don't have others in your life that you can care about and count on and in turn that can count on you. Having a meaningful life includes having other people around you to share that life with regardless if you have children or not or whether you have a significant other or not. I think we can all use improvement and will need it until the day we die. Life is a constant journey and we shouldn't stop learning at any point. I wish you luck and success in achieving whatever it is that you are looking for.

I do not wish to be antagonistic but I do care that people know about God it is my job and one I do gladly. Here is the dictionary meaning of God: 1)God a being regarded as the creator and ruler of the universe, forming the object of worship in many religions.2)A being of supernatural power, worshiped by a people, especially a male being thought to controld some part of nature.3)An image or idol of a god.4)Something considered to be of great value or high importance:absolute power was his God. I just wanted you to know there is an entry in the dictionary for God.

I couldn't agree with you more. The funny thing is, when we take our focus off of ourselves and turn our eyes to Jesus...things just seem to fall into place. The less I focus on me, the less there is to worry about. Of course this kind of discussion usually brings non-believers out of the woodwork. I guess it is not something you can explain to someone. You just have to experience it.
