Hello,Sri! Yes I read the preface of a book as it depicts something about the theme and the author. From the preface we get some facts about the author, his likings and disliking, his tastes etc.thanx.

Dear friend, In some big novels I do read and moreover when I start reading the novel at more cases I feel boring and stops and just goes through the preface and moreover after reading the preface a certain capacity and may be the standard of the writer could be known.

I always read everything in a book from start to finish including who the book is dedicated to etc as it gives me a lot more information and then I start the book. Each to their own though eh! Ellie :D
