Did you experience sleeping in the ground?

I had experience a lot of times. That happened when we have camp out. We will pitch our tent and sleep on the ground. It is a nice experience doing that once in a while during camping. What we do is to clean the area where we will pitch our tent. It is fun I have no problem sleeping on the ground of course with my sleeping bag.
What about you? did you experience it? did you like it? sometimes, it is good to let our kids experience this kind of enjoyment which is very different from what they used to. They will never forget it like my nephews and nieces. They are very excited to have that every year.

My dear here in the Philippines of course you know the mats or banig in Tagalog. Well during picnics which we normally do in Tagaytay or in Camp John Hay at Baguio City I always bring one big mat with me so that I will spread it on the grassy ground and will take some nap after the eating. Of course the normal tendency after eating is to be drowsy so I got the idea of bringing mat and I make sure it's a big one so I can share with my hubby or anyone in the group who wants to take a nap. It's a very nice feeling really to sleep on the grassy ground under a tree. It's very relaxing.

[i]Hi Bebs,Yea...I love it too! But, I wasn't lucky to join anything like that in Elementary and High School, my MOther will not allow me because I use to move around and put all me legs and body with anyone near me..LOL! She was scared I might be in trouble especially! LOL!
So, I was able to experience this in College and that time, I need to be always with my close friend since I still have the problem..LOL! My friends will always tell me that I am very prone to rape because when I sleep, I will never care what's going on! LOL![/i]

always dangerous..LOL! Anyone who know me will describe like a clock! LOL! Hubby is used to it and he knows he is not very safe at night with my jodo karate hands!

Sleeping on the ground!!! I do not have much experience, but I have slept on the ground. During our college days, we went to camps, and usually had an uncomfortable experience sleeping on the floor.
Here in India, it is very hot during the Summer. Many times I sleep on the cold marble floor to cut the heat, and the feeling is quiet pleasurable.

I hate sleeping on the ground. When we go camping, I have to be in a travel trailer on a nice soft bed!
As a kid I remember we use to sleep outside all the time. We would put tons of blankets layered under us to try to make the ground soft. No thanks! I am done with that.

I like it...just this past weekend well starting from Thursday we went camping and fishing, and we always sleep in a tent on the ground, we sleep on an air mattress, and its pretty comfortable, I slept pretty good. Alot of kids don't ever get to experience camping and sleeping outdoors, this summer we took our nephew with us, I didn't know if he would enjoy it or not, because he's scared of the dark and everything else, but he had a good time, I think thats the first time he's ever been camping. We'll definitately be taking him again sometime in the near future.

yea, it is very interesting to go on camping and sleep on the ground. Good for you you are using air mattress. Me, I usually hove no mattress only sleeping bag on the ground. Sometimes just mat and sheets on the ground. It is a nice experience though.
