do you buy the most expensive clothes shoes and groceries or do you budget because i know many people in todays society who live above there means who have the latest electronic gadgets such as mp3 players digital cameras camera phones blackberry and they wonder why they dont have money to feed themselves and pay there bills i would do without the gadgets and pay my bills now i am not saying dont treat yourself once in a while im just saying dont go overboard if you know you cant really afford it many people go into debts loose there homes and everything they worked so hard for because they live above there means try and be a good steward of your money and pay your bills first and treat yourself later!!!!!!!!!

I dont think I do.Sometimes though, I end up cutting it very close.I save coupons, get specials, shop discount stores, sommetimes thrift stores, store brand food, etc.I would rather have plenty of the things that we need then a bunch of things that we dont need and no money in my pocket. I do however have some nice electronics, and alot of extras, but only because I save to get these things. It might take a little longer to get, but, I still get things! And I am not going broke along the way!

No I don't live above my means at all. Actually I don't like spending money, I'm always looking for bargains and ways to save money, my husband says that I make him feel like we're poor sometimes...lol. We do have some of the gadgets, but I don't buy the lastest ones everytime they come out. I make sure our bills get paid first, then if we have extra money for things we get them. I'm proud to say that we aren't in any kind of debt, we're debt free..Have a good day

That's right!!! Live within your means. I understand what you mean.. well, we call it social climber. Yea it is sad to see that anywhere, Even some of our friends are victims of that. Not me, we tend to be frugal because only one of us has a job and it is hard to stretch our hard earned money to pay for our bills. We don't even have extra to buy the things that others are craving to have. We always prioritize our needs not our wants. we can live without digital camera and so fort.

I used to but now that I have my own place, I have learned to keep distance from guilty pleasures like shopping for clothes and gadgets. There's nothing wrong about pampering yourself and all that as long as you don't forget your obligations at home and at work.

i dont, i mean, maybe sometimes i over spend, but as much as possible, i try to make savings and buy those that i can afford. i dont want to have expensive stuffs and not eat anything, nope, that's definitely not me. ii am not so into branded shoes and bags and i dont clothes. i buy branded, once in a while, but i can live with a hand me down bag. no big deal with me. really. it's just confidence and how you carry them anyways!

Hey there jesus777. I am learning this one. Mine is not really a very bad case. I just think that there are many ways of gaining money back. Time lost is lost forever, but money lost can be gained again in many ways. So I don't really care if I have much of it, or if I'm sinking already. :D. But now, there is a bit of a modification on how I think about it. It is not bad at all to get to save, and have a little spare that I can use in case of unexpected needs. So I don't spend wildly now.

I used to... but now that I lost my job, and wasnt able to save, I feel so bad and I have so much regrets. I learned a lot from that experience and I do hope that when the time comes again that I can earn as much as I used to, I will be more practical and focus more on savings and investments.

Never. I just buy what I think is best for me. If i think a thing is just for the sake so society popularity then never mind. I am a very particular person and I like to live life to the simpliest way possible. I am not saying i dont like gadgets but when i see the need for things i buy them, but if its just 'like' then i wouldnt:)
