I have learned English for 18 years. When I was a small kid, I didn't learn it intentionally. Here is the thing. I like American dramas. Thus, I had watched friends for ten years. This was how I learned Enlgish. However, it was just an accident. I had learned korean for 1 year. I knew a korean friend in my freshman year. I have to say that my friend's English accent was very bad. So was his Chinese. Thus, I had to communicate with him in Korean. Besides, my korean was very bad. In addition, I forgot everything. I had learned Japanese for several days. My grandpa has been in China for 70 years. He was Japanese. I was kinda interested in his native tongue. As a result, I asked him to teach me. After only several weeks, I went cold on the deal. So, I hardly speak Japanese. How many years have u learned your foreign language, how is it going?

i have learned english for about 15 years ,it is a hard period for me.in china, education in school serves for examination,so during that time,we only learn writing english,no listening and oral , so bald. i nealy give it up .till i gradulated,i began to practise it,listen, speak or watch Amercia film.and now i have great interesting on it,english is just a language,if we take it as a tool for examination, that is a mistake,i hope everyone can enjoy it

Interesting experience you have. I had learned English from my junior school days till now.I'm working for a Japanese company and of course I needn't to speak Japanese but English. I used to watch English movies and sing English Music, that my way to keep English warm as most of my time I speak Chinese.
