I am very busy lately, and when I go to sleep
I can sense that I am snoring, I have heard sometime from someone that it is bad sign of a bad health I am not pretty sure though, do you think it is a bad symptom of having a bad health? Why is that? How could that be prevented? Thoughts anyone?

I don't think it is a sign of bad health. Shelly snores every night, whether she is healthy or sick. It could just be that you are over-tired, not getting enough rest. Try changing positions to one that allows you to breathe easier, this may help

I just found out from the article posted by the second responder that snoring is categorically a sleep disorder called sleep apnea, it has to be treated, corrected or otherwise prevented on the earlier state.

I have heard that before, and it amazes me. I spent twenty years sleeping next to a woman with sleep apnea and she rarely ever snored. I wish she had, at least when snoring I know someone is breathing
Nothing worse than realizing the person sleeping next to you has stopped breathing. Ugh!

Snoring is not necessarily a sign of bad health. It may be caused by being overweight or excessively tired, though.
Sleep apnea is different than just plain snoring. Sleep apnea is when you actually stop breathing for awhile, then one loud 'snort' and you're breathing again. This sometimes wakes people up, even though they may not remember it. It can happen several hundred times a night and it does lead to improper quality of sleep and excessive tiredness the next day.
Snoring can sometimes be 'fixed' permanently with laser surgery. Sleep apnea cannot be cured, I believe. It can only be controlled with the help of a doctor and specific medical equipment.
If you only snore occasionally, I'd say that it is due to your being so tired and it's nothing to worry about.

Oh boy laser surgery is very costly, I hope this "bad state" would be fine in the next few days.

There are sprays that you spray in the back of your mouth before you go to bed. There are also nasal strips that you put across your nose to help keep your nasal passages open. At least here in the U.S. you can buy them practically everywhere.
They do work, too. My husband uses them because he's one of the worst snorers I've ever heard and he uses them (when he remembers). They don't stop the snoring completely, but it's so quiet that it doesn't wake anyone up.
Do you have health insurance? Surgery might be free in that case because it IS a health issue. I've known of several people who have had this surgery and it really works. Of course, it must be because of a physical condition (your uvula is too long) that makes you snore ALL the time, not just occasionally.
If you can get the spray and/or the nasal strips (some are called 'Breathe Right'), I'd say try them first and see if that doesn't help you. They are not expensive.
Good luck!

Hi torchablazed!
That's means that you are over worked and need rest. Obviously you are not getting enough to sleep. Proper sleeping is very important! You ease out, relax and take a break for job.
Happy chiiling out.

You are absolutely right mimpi, I am very much loaded with work these days and I find my body is exhausted at the end of the day. I would find sometime to chill out, thanks for the advice.

I think its quite normal to snore when you sleep if you had a busy day and feeling very tired. I its happen too often or every night you sleep and you are worry then I think you should go for a check up to make sure is it normal for you or not. I think its quite normal for someone to snore.

Snoring can be a sign of bad heart condition that is why we need to caution our love ones if they snore often, excessive fat may be the reason of it, that is why most fat or people with bigger weights has more tendency to snore, that is the time, they need to slow down with excessive cholesterol food content, or probably result of a very stressful routine, still not good.

Hi there!
Well snoring is not really a sypmtom of having bad health but if not prevented it can cause your life.
Whenever we progress into deep sleep the muscles in the roof of the mouth (soft palate), tongue and throat relax. This causes the tissues in your throat to sag. If the tissues sag enough, they may partially obstruct the airway. Snoring results when air flows past the sagging tissues causing the tissues to vibrate as we breathe. Usually snoring happens to older people because the tissues in the mouth tend to sag more when you're old thus giving them a hard time breathing.
In order to prevent snoring the simplest way to do is to change position when you sleep. Try to sleep on your side. It will prevent the tissues in your mouth to sag and obstruct the airway. If you're also over weight then I suggest try to loose weight. Flabby throat tissues are more likely to vibrate as you breathe.
Hope that helps. Ciao!

i was not knowing that snoring is concerned to health problems. i was just knowing that snoring is due to ur tiredness. they tell that when u r very tired n you r in a deep sleep you snor but i was not knowing this.
i have to surely enquire about this from a doctor as my husband snors and if its related to health problem we can ask for the treatment.
but most propbably i think its not going to be something serious.

Good for you not to snore a lot, but when you are in the mid-age people tend to find themselves snoring, for reasons of stress, started to gain weight and other reasons.
Stay healthy !
