i am in the local library at the moment and everyone is being really quite noisy! when i was little we were never allowed to make noise in the library,the most irritating thing though is the guy opposite me is chewing gum so loud i want to punch him in the eye! Are you quiet in your library?

Yes, I remember when the librarian would peer over her glasses, 'tut' and tell you 'THIS is a library!!' if you dared to even whisper and you tiptoed incase your shoes squeaked! Now there is chatter, 'hissing' from ipods etc &, in your case the annoying guy with the gum! Just keep an eye on him to make sure he doesn't stick it under the edge of the table before he leaves! I hate that!!
