coming out

i came out as a lesbian last year and i had kept it from everybody for 2 and a half years, i had a relationship with a girl and im not sure why i waited so long before coming out,maybe it was fear,maybe because it had nothing to do with anyone else,maybe because i just wasnt ready, i think it was a mixture of all of the above. How long did you wait,if you did wait,why (if you dont mind telling me) Do you wish you had told sooner? do you still have to tell people. If you have come out what advice would you give to someon who was thinking about coming out? Mine would be that you tell people when you are good and ready and not a minute before,what about you?
