I speak our national language that is Filipino. Another local language I speak is the cebuano. Cebuano has several dialects-I speak waray, understand Ilonggo, but I could not speak much though. The cebuano language vary so much...parts of mindanao speak it but has a twist...I can adjust to the cebuano of Ormoc,Cebu,Cagayan de oro and Davao City. In the island of Luzon, there are lots of Languages---and variation of Tagalog. Tagalog basically comprises the Filipino language...I speak a little spanish, since my grandparents only spoke spanish, but with out practice I tend to forget. and of course english...I want to learn French...I'm still looking for a good school.also chinese. My kids studied spanish and chinese in school but they didnt have anyone to communicate with so they tend to forget the laguages too.it is really very nice to be multi lingual...

hi- cebuano is a language.no longer a dialect.the variation of cebuano will be the dialects.I had my linguistics with in UP diliman. it was in that class that I found out that what we call as dialects are now languages. Yah, I understand when you said you have to construct sentences first before blurting out. Thats what we were doing with the linguistics class, until, our prof had to give out nerve-wracking lectures for us to be able to talk straight. now,i couldnt even speak a single line of kapampangan.somuch for my linguistics class.LOL

oh---I wish I could speak Ifugao and kankana-ey. I would like to learn the language of the Ivatans in Batanes. When I was taking up my Linguistics in UP diliman, my profesor frequented Batanes. They were studying the Ivatans...I really wished we were allowed to go with them. Where are you based? Ang alam kolang na magaling magturo ng French ay sa embassy mismo.even if I am based in QC, its still very far.
