99 cent fish tacos! (Del Taco special)

So I went to Del Taco last night for their Tuesday taco night (3 hard or soft tacos for $1) and found a little flyer stuck in the bag. The flyer proclaims 99 cent crispy fish tacos - on Sundays! I like fish tacos, do you? Ack! it's also only a special during August, what a relief, Sunday is the 31st LOL!
For the uninitiated or if you have never heard of Del Taco, here is their official website. I won't say their food is excellent or anything but it's cheap and sometimes cheap and easy really hits the spot.

I didn't know their was fish tacos. I don't know if I would like them or not. 99 cent is a good price for something nowadays though. So if someone needed a cheap meal they could probaly learn to like them.

They are excellent (if you like that type of thing). Small crispy fish fillets along with shredded cabbage and dressing and a slice of lime so you can squeeze juice on it, wrapped in a warm corn tortilla. I have not figured out how to make my own, if I tried it I'd have to bake some cod or halibut or something. It's somewhat hard to bread and fry fresh fish (at least for me, the breading tends to fall off) and I prefer fresh to frozen breaded fillets lol. It's also much cheaper and less time consuming to do Del Taco...

No I don't like fish tacos. But I have a sister in law that does. Now I have been with her when she has ordered them in an ice sit down place. I think I would try and steer her away from the 99cent variety. Aside from that, I prefer Taco Bells menu.
