ATI vs. Nvidia... Who do you support?

August 27, 2008 9:02pm CST
The never ending battle of the graphics card developers rages on more violently than ever with ATI having released its successful 4xxx series, forcing Nvidia to make unexpected prices cuts... Who do you support and who do you think is the better company of the two. I personally go with ATI because I have had good success with them in the past and so far they have never failed me.

It really depends on your budget, what you’re doing, and what you want to get out of your video card. If you have a low budget, you should consider getting a mid-range video card (in the $100 range) from either ATi or nVidia (but nVidia really seems to be pretty flaky with Windows Vista). If you’re a hardcore gamer then you’ll want to go after the card that is the top of the line. Right now, block for clock, it’s the 8800GTX, but in a few months it may very well be the 8950GTX.
