Why iphone is so hot this days?

It's popular because it's like an all-in-one gadget.

iphone3g was recently became officially available in the philippines last august 22, 2008.. yes the cost was very high, i think around php42,000 for the pre-paid unit.. i plan to get one but i have to confirm if it is 2yr-locked like the post paid units, and if it can used outside the philippines with different simcard.. moreover, according to some iphone forums, there is a glitch in the iphone 3g chipset which they need to fix.. iphone3g is like ipod with phone, internet, and camera capabilities. we all know ipod when as a portable music and video player.

The iphone 3G was just launched in India, at an astronomical price of 31,000 rupees($680) for the 8GB version and 36000 rupees($800) for the 16GB version. I agree the phone is good, but is it good enough for its price. I do not think so!!! It lacks basic features such as video recording and blue tooth. Further it is only available in 2 networks, Vodafone and Airtel; it is a GSM phone, and it is not contracted, inspite of that covering only 2 networks is absolutely wrong on part of apple. The techhies also gave another reason as why it is overrated!!!! Suppose a malicious code is running in my iphone, Apple can switch of the phone, without taking any prior permission from, now come on, thats my phone, what right do they have to swithch it off, this is complete loss of liberty. Paying such a huge sum for a phone, which is not even compatible with a hands free kit, is just wrong. However I do agrr that Appple is good at creating hype, and they have marketed the product very well in India.

Well, I own the first Iphone that came out and absolutely love my phone because I can do everything from a touch of a button and in reality it is a lifesaver since I am a new mother and at times turning on the computer just to check my email takes extra time then to just web browse on my phone. I do everything on it from using it as my alarm, checking email, listen to music, youtube videos, messaging, GPS, Weather, camera, notes, organizer, calculator, and many other tasks. I am going to invest in the newer version even though my phone is already current in updates only because I want a white one and i will have the speed I get from my dsl every where their is signal.
