In the past DSLR can only take photos, but it can not record the video as well as other normal digital camera. Now it's different. Today I read the news about Nikon D90 and it has the video feature. Besides, other feature is good. This is a big improvement for DSLR. I like camera like this.

Oh yeah... I was looking at the specification of the new D90 and drooling as well. Sigh... I just bought my D80 a little short of a year ago. And I have yet to maximize the usage of this camera and the D90 is out. Comes with live view too! Well, until I can justify buying a new one, I can only drool over the new D90.

Yeah... I think so too. It all started with the Sony Alphas. Then the Olympus E series. Or was it the other way around. I cannot remember. Slowly, I am sure the rest will follow suite sooner or later. But the D90 is released like so fast! The D300 barely even reached a year, and the D700 is released already. A few months after the D700 was announced, the D90 is ready for the market. It is almost impossible to catch up with all of these improved models.

I don't think there is a need to have video on DSLR. I don't believe in combining all in one. I take many pictures and I also have video production company. I rather keep photography separate.

I think it's a great to combine them! I currently sell both stock photographs and stock video clips. It will be great to go out on a shoot and only have to bring one camera for both! Plus the videos look fantastic! The DOF you get with a DSLR really makes a difference compared to video footage you get with a regular camcorder! And the price is pretty good... around $1,000!

My s/o just told me about those, he gave me the Nikon D40 this past Christmas and I love it. I for one don't really care to combine the DSLR and a video camera together. I love taking pictures and would rather do so than a video. I also have a video camera, however, I use my Nikon way more often than the video camera.

I did hear about this! The video clips they have as examples are pretty incredible! I'm thinking about getting one. I have a camcorder, but I'd really like to be able to use my current Nikon mount lenses to shoot video! Plus the DOF is incredible!

Especially this price seems to be so nice. This camera was just released. So after some time, it will be cheaper.
