My hubby made oatmeal cookies last night. They came out delicious. He left out the raisins which was fine with me. He got the recipe off Cooks.com Have you used this site, or another one?

Anymore, the majority of my recipes come from online sites. I don't like keeping a whole cupboard in the kitchen just for cookbooks--so I kept two favorites and donated the rest. Cooks.com is a good site, as well as recipezaar.com and foodnetwork.com. My personal favorite is allrecipes.com. After you do a search, you can sort the recipes by relevance, rating, title, or whether or not a photo is included. I sort by rating, that way I only make things that other people said came out really well (4.5 stars/5 or higher). The comments below each recipe can also be sorted. I usually sort those by which was considered the most helpful. The top few usually include some helpful recipe adjustments or optional ingredients. They also let you keep an online "recipe box" if you sign up for a free account. Happy cooking!

You are right allrecipes is a really good site which I forgot to mention in my reply. I love the rating and review system and that many of the reviewers with give hints as to how they improvised or improved on the recipe. I also have my recipe box there. It is a good place to peruse just to get ideas when I am making out my grocery list and menus for then next week.

I love looking for recipes online. I used to have a huge cookbook collection. When we moved I got rid of a ton of the cookbooks that I never used. Now when I need a recipe, I just go online. If I like it, I'll print it out. Less clutter around here and I get such a huge variety of recipes and recipe ideas to pick from. Hopefully, this is allowed since none of these are money making sites? Anyway, i like Taste of Home, RecipeZar, Allrecipes, and some of the speciality sites for crock pot recipes, and the About.com sites for southern food and other stuff. I also get emails from Kraft and some other magazines. See I am a complete Internet recipe fan.

I use cook.com alot during the holidays months as that is when all the family is around and going out would cost too much so we all share recipes and print out the ones that turned out delicious so we will all have a copy to go home with. I don't cook much the rest of the year since I work mainly full time now and our kids are grown.

MMM! Sounds so good! I love them right out of the oven and without the raisins, Now you have me wanting to make them I will have to check this site out. I haven't been to it before. I do have a few favorites I go to when I want a recipe. I have used the Kraft site. Pillsbury and Betty Crocker and a few others.

I love to look on the internet for new recipes. I use Recipes4living, and Chittlings.com, or Foodnetwork. I have tried a lot of the recipes that I find online, I think only one came out bad and I believe they left out some of the ingredients. Or I just type in show me some new recipes and you come up with all kinds of sites. i will look into Cooks.com thank you for the site.

Since the invention of the Internet, I have been resourcing recipes like crazy! LOL! My favorite thing to do os to enter cooking and recipe contests, and I often utilise online resources for information and inspiration, as well... The online sites are much more accessible than cookbooks and magazines, and with the use of a bookmarking site, I can save hundreds of recipes, videos and text descriptions, ect... I use Expert Village for almost everything, from baking cookies to drywalling the Kitchen! :) http://www.expertvillage.com Some great tips in case you want to win a cookie contest or two (Pillsbury paid 1 Million bucks for a peanut butter cookie) http://contestguru.com/Win_Cooking_Contests.html And one look at Blist, will make you wonder how you ever did without it! :) http://www.blist.com/ It might not be your Birthday, Mommy, but it's OK to have a Happy One, anyhow! :)

Although I have many cooking books at home. But I still like to search new recipe via the net because it's much more convenient. For example, lately I suddenly want to make moon cakes at home. Therefore I find this recipes from internet. Because I haven't seen a book for it. I love China

Yes, of course, I love cooking and I try mostly microwave dishes from the net. Few days back, I tried "Kadhai Paneer" from a famous site called www.tarladalal.com. Tarla Dalal is a renowned Indian cook and all her dishes come out to be very delicious. I try most of her dishes and I love when everyone praises me for it.

ersmommy - hi. I have never used Cooks.com, but I use epicurious.com. Of all places to look for vegan recipes, I find several on kraft.com They involve way too much cooking, because I don't cook. I have some of their recipes printed out though. One day, you never know, I might try one. travel lightly, anawar out

Hi! My classmates and I used this brownie recipe online for our Home Ed. class. It's an oatmeal brownie and it turned out really great. I love how it tastes. I tried it by myself at home but since I made a mistake while making it (ugh, of all the things to screw up why the butter ), it turned out icky. Anyhoo, I forgot what the site was, something like Holiday cookies? I can't remember because it was way back in 2004.

I've never been to that site yet but I usually read recipes online and see how I can "work around" the ingredients... I tend to experiment specially when it comes to sauces...
