Do you think buying egg boiler is a silly idea?

Some time ago I bought egg boiler via the net. My friends laughed at me because they think it isn't worth. They said boiling an egg was just quite convenient and no need to use such kind of little electrical appliance.
However, I think this boiler is quite useful. You just need to put the egg and water inside, it will be done within minutes and you can adjust to how raw the egg is. The boiler I bought is for three eggs. Although more the boiler for more eggs won't be much more expensive, but I really don't need so many eggs at the same time

that is your decision and everyone should respect that! But, in my case, I cook rice almost every week so whenever I need to boil egg, I will just place it on top of the rice while the water already absorb the rice and it's quick too![/i]

[i]I cook rice in the morning also whenever we have no old rice to fried, so, I can always put it on top but if ever we have an old rice, I will just boil it using the ordinary caserole!

send it back so you can get a refund, tell them you realize you really do not need it. you should not have gave in to those silly things.

I like eggs very much. Thus I think u worth it to buy an egg boiler.
Also, it doesn't cost much.
On the other hand, it will remind u of eating eggs, which i good to your health.
So, eggs boilers deserve your attention!

if i am going to buy an egg boiler then it would be a silly idea for we are only three in the house. me, my wife and my son. if a person has a restaurant that needs to boil a lot of egg then to but an egg boiler is a good idea. but the boiler you bought is for three eggs and that sounds cute. my wife just put the eggs she wants to boil together with the rice she is cooking. it saves water and gas as well.

Let your friends laugh, if it helps you and you both use it and find it useful to your needs then it definitely isn't a waste of money. I wouldn't listen to them anyhow. I see nothing silly about an egg boiler, enjoy your eggs and you can have them done exactly how you want them done to a fine art!

You bought something that you Needed. That is never a silly idea.It would be silly for me, I don't cook or eat eggs. But you are using the boiler and it is working for you so it isn't a silly idea.

It's not silly if you like eating boiled eggs frequently! The good thing is you can control how well you like your egg cooked,and with a timer on it you can go do something else without worrying about a pot boiling dry while You're not there..I have a food steamer,which I would use to boil eggs..!

What do you care? As long as you like it and find it useful, the rest of the world can think whatever they want.

i used to have one...
it wasnt an electrical gadget..
just put the specified amount of boiling water - the water drains out from the container automatically... and you'll have your desired type of boiled eggs.. 1/2 boiled or 3/4 cooked or.. fully cooked.. its very simple..
i think it's a very useful gadget.. not silly at all....

Hi youless! Well, if you have the extra money then you buy it dear friend. Anything that can make life easier is good. haha..I would definitely would like one just to make sure that my eggs will be cooked the way I want it.

hi youless no its not silly if it makes it easier for
you to make boiled eggs, I would love to have an egg poacher
as its so hard to poach eggs makeshift and an egg poacher
is really nifty to use and much easier to clean.anything
that makes life easier and more pleasant I am all for. lol.

I think the egg boiler is a brillian idea... we all have problems as to how long should we boil the egg just to get it perfectly boiled... or how we want it done... so the boiler is the perfect device... i would buy one if i can afford and if it is available in my country... there is nothing like a perfectly boiled egg for a salad and other types of meals...

Hi ......in my opinion buying an egg boiler is not a waste of money or is it silly because you have a need to use it. Besides when you put the egg to boil you can also do other things while it is being boiled. I don't have a need for an egg boiler in my house so I don't have one. If I want to boil eggs I just boil it in a saucepan with water. But I do have a deep fryer in my kitchen as it saves time and is cleaner....cheers

Nope, i don't think anything that saves time and effort is silly. Just know that while they are constantly checking the stove to make sure the eggs don't boil over and make a mess, you can be doing something else that you need to get done without worrying!
