Can Obama grow a pair before the election?

Most people support him because they agree with him on issues, want to see him make history, or because they want the almighty change he keeps promising. The problem is, he's a wimp. I have yet to see him show any strength in dealing with his opponents. If any of you have seen when Joe Biden restated that he still feels Obama is not ready to lead, did you look at Obama? He stood their with a sad look on his face. He didn't show any strength or defiance. He had a look that just said "That was mean..."
This is why he hides from town hall meetings with McCain. He couldn't stand up to Biden in the primaries and he and his team know that McCain would tear him apart in an open forum like that.
How about the notorious Jesse Jackson issue? I'm sure everyone here saw, read, or at least heard how Jesse Jackson said he wanted to cut Obama's nuts off. I really thought it would be great to see Obama fight back. Naturally, I was disappointed. he just accepted Jesse Jackson's meaningless apology and wouldn't say another word on the matter. Jesse Jackson's own SON had the balls to denounce what his father said and strong and stern words, but Obama just let it go. I think it was then that I realized why. Obama's not afraid of Jesse Jackson cutting anything off. You can't lose em if you don't have em.
With all this obvious weakness, what will he do if he becomes president? What will he do when Hugo Chavez calls him the devil? What will he do when Putin invades Ukraine or Poland, both of which are on his sh!tlist? What will he do if we get another terrorist attack? If he can't stand up for himself, how can he stand for our country?

Yah he's a real jack*ss. :) Democrat=donkey...get it? anyways, Your right... he doesn't ever have a comeback. And it was easy to do when he was running against a woman. Hello? PMS jokes?? I think he would do a horrible job. He's just a kid. He hasn't had near the experience needed to become a president. And his name is way to close to oh bomb us. I figure if he becomes president i'm switching countries. Anyone know a good country to live in??

What about the things Rev. Wrong said about him? He seemed as if he pretended he didn't hear anything.
I heard someone predict the other day that Russia might attack Israel through Georgia. What will he do then?
What will he do when Americans start protesting because he can't solve any of the major problems he is pretending he can solve?
I think he has some, the're just little and he is trying to pretend not showing them is a symbol of his "change".

Well taskr, I guess that I didn't want to respond to this discussion because I was trying to continue to have good terms with you but with what has transpired today I will now answer this one.
"This is why he hides from town hall meetings with McCain."
Obama refused the 10 hall meetings that McCain wanted in fact he counter with a 5 Town Hall meetings and McCain refused. So he doesn't hide.
Honestly I'm just as disappoint with this post as you were with mine, but you stated yours way before mine and you were the hypocrite to actually do yours first and then have the nerve to say something about mine.

"He still failed to stand up to Jesse Jackson and uses attack dogs instead of speaking for himself half the time."
Interesting. What was he suppose to say Jesse Jackson you're a moron and a washed up has been that no one cares about? Attack dogs? Really because he has choosen not to nail McCain on so much that he could have. He doesn't smear McCain, he could bring up an huge list of crap that McCain has pulled over his years of trying to become president. He has taken the high road, which I might add that you just started a discussion on comending him that fact, and so it's ok for one area just not all of them? Seriously? Are you kidding me. I see Conservatives running their fingers all of the time on this site about how "oh Liberals won't be happy with anything that McCain does, he could respond the same way as Obama but they will smear him". I suppose the same could be said here as well. I'll just say it "Coversatives would never be happy with what a Democrat has done, they are not happy with Obama ever and complain endlessly about him, but when McCain does the same thing, oh McCain walks on water so it's wonderful, it's so great." Liberals bad Conservatives good

"We had no idea who made the phone calls, who paid for them, or how many calls were made. Effective and anonymous: the perfect smear campaign."
Here is the key to why McCain couldn't fight back. The lies were spread by a nameless, faceless source on anti-McCain blogs. While Bush was blamed for it, the article clearly shows that there was nothing linking Bush to that smear. There are also nothing linking McCain to the lies about Obama being a Muslim terrorist, nor is there anything linking Obama to the lies about McCain being a traitor in Vietnam.
The blog you linked to is crap. Just like every other blog people link to on mylot. It cites absolutely no sources and is clearly written based on third hand information that the author likely heard on the street, or read on other blogs. I won't even address the content since there's no verification of any of it.

On a side note I wouldn't be so quick to throw stones when your candidate also lives in a glasshouse, seems that McCain just hired the man that smeared him all over South Carolina. I don't think I could be so forgiving.

With Obama's supporters now jumping at the opportunity to smear Palin it could be a wise move to take one weapon out of their arsenal. I believe that Obama will keep his word, but his supporters have already decided to use recent events to smear Palin and attack her for her daughter's pregnancy. Take away their weapon and use him as a consultant on the best way to deal with such attacks. The guy may be a scumbag, but he's clearly an expert.
