Have you ever tried putting the plastic tips on your cat's claws?

I had a pedigree cat five or six years ago. I don't believe in surgically removing claws, but this seven pound cat was very stubborn. In fact, his breed "Tonkinese" is known for their independent thinking and strong personality, more so than your average cat. Anyhow, I ordered those plastic claws and the day they came in the mail, I tucked them into a drawer in my desk, A few days later, my daughter was visiting me. "Dr. Zhivago" was in the bedroom, far away from hearing distance, even for a cat. We took the package out of the drawer and talked about how to use them. We never even took the plastic claws out of the bag. When we went looking for "Doc", somehow he sensed our thoughts and hid out until my daughter left. No way could I get those claws on without assistance. We never got the plastic sleeves on his claws, but we found sticky tape worked wonders, Do you have an ultra sensitive cat who senses everything? Have you tried using the plastic claws I'm talking about?

Ahh, Soft Paws? I think they're a really good idea. My cat needs some! I haven't tried them though. She knows when you're going to grab hold of her though and always runs off, so I'd have a hell of a time trying to put them on!

My cat usually makes himself scarce when I have somebody come to visit..I don't think my family have seen him up close except in photos! He's usually in and out all day,and some of the night too,but My Aunt and Uncle called round last week, and while they were here,he never darkened the door the whole time! I don't think they like "strange" company much...

Hi anawar I have never heard of plastic claws, and have never owned a cat but do have dogs..after all said and done though cats dogs any animal is very acute at hearing and sensing things so it doesn't really surprise me that he sensed what you were wanting to do..littleowl

I've never even heard about them, but they sure do sound like they're worth investing in! My husband's cat would probably be diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia if she were human. She hates everyone, except my husband, with a passion! She even gave him a few new 'battle scars' just today! She's one mean kitty! She could surely use those tips! There's no way I'd even consider HELPING my husband put them on her, though. Whew, is she ever nasty! I'd want to put them on her teeth as well!!! My cat, Bean, was a stray who wandered into our lives last year. My husband doesn't like him much but I have no idea why. Well, he says the cat just eats and sleeps. He DOES do a lot of that! He weighs in at 16 pounds!!! He's not really fat; he has HUGE bones. He's a very large kitty. He MUST be extra sensitive because he always pops up whenever there's food around. He seems to appear out of nowhere! Whenever I think about him, there he is. When I walk near his food bowl, there he is. Whenever my husband looks at him, he runs; the poor thing! My husband's not mean to him at all, but I guess the cat senses that he doesn't like him. Well, that's my cat story. What in the world did you do with the sticky tape? I'm curious. It sounds very intriguing! LOL By the way, it's good to see you back! I don't know if you've been gone or not, but I haven't seen you around for quite some time and I was wondering where you were. I hope all is well and you are doing okay. Take care!
