Okay...there are two songs that i really like; I think they are really fun and entertaining. My issue is one of them was seen as this big controversial song, and the other I never heard any beaf about when I think it is FAR more controversial than the first.
Here's the song that got labeled as big time controverisal...

Now HERE's the song that I never heard any issues with...

I mean...the girl kills her boyfriend, 1st degree. Now, I don't support women being abused, obviosuly. But he was in jail, she could have just left him. She's obvisouly a tough girl in the song, she could have just taken off while he was in jail. Instead she waits for him to get out, come home...and immeditaly shoots him-not in self defense at the time, mind you...he was not abusing her immediatly after getting home. I think he got what was coming to him when he was in jail, and she should have left him....I am NOT ragging on this song--I LOVE IT! I'm just saying--how could the first song get so much stink when this one gets off free?

I listened to them both and have to agree with you. I don't understand how the Brad Paisley song could be construed as controversial in any way, shape or form. I actually thought it was fairly funny.
The other song seems to advocate taking justice into your own hands without regard for human life. I think it kind of falls into the same category as the Dixie Chicks "Goodbye Earl".

Yeah I never found Brads song controversial in any way either, it is funny. And I like it :P lol. I don't know the details about issues people were having with it.
And I like the second one, it's fun--but I would never kill someone like that! yeah Goodbye Earl is dark and fun too
