Do you forget where you left your keys?

I just realized that I cannot find the keys to my master bedroom. There was a wedding at my house the other weeekend I locked my room during the chaos because I was in charge of the gifts and everybody's purses etc. Now I don't remember where I left it. I search everywhere already. it was only 10 days ago. Does this happen to you? I realized my memory is so bad that I even forget to fill my gas tank and I end up stranded on the road.

For sure this happens to me. I will put something up and never find it. My husband laughs at me and usually finds it but not always does he find it. I always put stuff up so I can find it and then can not find it. As far as gas I do forget to fill the tank but luckily the car i drive is also the family car so my husband remembers to fill it up when I forget. He gets into the car and sees it on empty and well he don't find the humor in this I forgot answer lol.

HA. I know what you mean. I buy things but have to put them away out of sight from my daugther too. But at the end, I end up putting it so away that I forgot all about it. I had been stranded several times. My car reminds me with flashing the gas tank on the dashboard, but I will remember it when driving. But because I am on the highway I tell myself to wait until I am nearby home. Then like an autopilot, I drive right pass the gas station. And pull into my garage and forget all about it. The next morning, with the morning rush and the kids. I forget again, until I my car starts to slow down and I realized what happened. Luckily this has never happened with the kids in the car. It happens on my way to work. I don’t even tell my husband anymore, because like your husband. He does not find any humor in my reason “I forgot”. I think I need to buy myself a recorder so when I remember something I need to record it immediately for later. But then my next problem, if I remember to play back the recording in time for the task. haha.

I thought about the recorder as well but like you I would forget I had it and forget to play it back. I make myself notes and forget to read them so I am sure a recorder would be about as useful for me. they got a patch for everything else we need a memory patch to help us forgetfuls remember. But then again we would just throw them into our medicine cabinet and forget to wear them lol.

Hi there ch88ss! I always misplace my keys. I always forget where I left my keys. I am not that old yet. But I do experience this quite very often. That is why before I leave our home for work, I check where I placed my keys. I do the same thing before going home. By doing so, I get reminded of where my keys are. I avoid leaving my keys just anywhere. But still, there are times when I get to forget where I left my keys.

Hi Dolce, You do that too? I check for my keys so many times before I leave the office and when I am leaving the house. But since I don't always lock my master bedroom, I never check for the keys. Now I don't know where they are .

I used to have that problem - I could never find my keys. A friend of mine gave me a little hook thing that hooks them on to my purse, now I never have a problem trying to find them!

I have that too! Except for this time I lost my master bedroom keys. I don't usually lock my bedroom doors but it was a busy day and all the guest was using my room to store their valuables and I did not want to lose them so I locked my room door.

My car keys are attched to my purse at all times. I purchased a attachment that hooks onto my purse and it is visible all the time. I can see the string on my purse handle so I know I won't lock my self out by locking my car doors. My other keys, I don't remember anymore.

I never forget where I left them, and if they are not where I left them, then I have lost them!! This happened to me at the beginning of June, and I ended up spending the night in a Travelodge Motel, because I had no way of getting into my apartment. When I have my keys they are hanging on the hook by the door at home, or are in the front pocket of my computer case, when I am away from home.

Oh no. That is too bad that you had to spend the night somewhere else, instead of the comfort of your own home. Well the good part, you remember where you left your wallet so you could still pay for a room. I had lost my wallet before too, on Christmas Eve.

Normally i will left my keys in my car and lock my car manually. =( Don't worry, u will find it. When you give up finding your lost things, you will found it somewhere you thought u had search for it. Btw, u keep a spare keys?

Oh you too. Yes I also locked myself out before too. I have spare key but I don't know where they are. So to avoid my keys being outside of the house. I stop myself from making too many copies of the keys. Otherwise I cannot keep track of how many spare keys I lost. More chances of somebody picking up my keys.

...in 1987, Jack Paar said, "Shirley MacLaine can remember what she did two thousand years ago, and I CAN'T FIND MY CAR KEYS!!!" ;-) ...happens to me from time to time. Fortunately, since I don't have a car anymore, I guess I won't be leaving them locked inside the car anymore, heh heh...

haha. That is so so true. I can remember certain details five years ago but what I wore yesterday or ate last week I have no idea!
