What do you usually talk about on the internet?

I always chat with people on the internet, at first, we ask asl, if we are single, and something like that. But at last, we don't have a topic in common, we don't know what to talk about. So i have only two real net-pals. They are both italians, and they are high-minded. They tell me what the mafia is, and we talk about films, the views about love, the life's goals, math, our parents and etc...
so what do you always talk about on the internet? Do you always have topics in common?

It's a little weird to talk too much with stranger on the internet,after all, we don't know each other well and nothing has ever happen to us.How long are we supposed to talk and what kind of topics do you think we could talk about?
I used to chat with many stranger before and i found it difficult to keep the conversation more than 3 times.At last we don't have topic in common just like what happen to you.
