actually speaking, dreams are unwanted files stored in our brain.its similar to a recycle bin of a comp.in our subconcious mind we store some information which are irrelevant to us.so it has to be cleaned now and then to get some free space. dreams come to us because more unwanted info is stored in brain. i can bet, people get dreams which are mostly of the type where such a (dream)thing can never happen in real life. there is another thoery which says dreams come to satisfy certain unattained intentions... so next time u get a dream, interpret the dream properly.it shud either be a unwanted file of your brain otherwise an unsatisfied intention....

I would agree that some are unsatisfied intention, but others I think are unresolved issues that may not be of a person's wanting. I think that during the day life comes at us faster than we can process it, and dreams are a time when the mind sorts data, much the way a computer does. Some dreams are a preview of what will happen in life, too. Those are called prophetic dreams and although some people do not believe they exist because they have never had one, others know they do.

I like your thought process, I think a lot of dreams are us dealing with our day to day concious actions and life. So therefore processing and "recycing" as you say so to speak. However I do believe that lucid dreaming can actually be prophetic (though not all the time). Sometimes as I'm recycing it does giveme insight it to my concious life and how things are affecting me and will often give me a better way of thinking about a situation so that I can deal with it correctly in my waking state. Looking forward to hearing more of your opinions.
