If you have been on a cruise? What ports did you go to? What kind of activities did they have on board? Did you feel safe, considering all of the disappearances of people lately?

I haven't been on a cruise either but that is one of the things I would like to do someday. I have traveled quite a bit but never by ship. It has always been by car, rail, or plane. I hope you get to go someday also.

Yes I have been on a cruise and I went from mumbai to goa. If you feel scared then can stay in your cabin.

I don't think I would like staying in my cabin all time. I would probably get "cabin fever". LOL. I would have to get out and look around.

I've gone on a Carnival cruise once and am going again for Christmas. I felt completely safe while I was on the ship, but you need to be careful when your on the islands. There are a lot of muggers.

You are a brave one. I am sure there are probably muggers on the islands because they think that the foreigners have all their money with them. I am just not sure how safe I would feel on the ship either.

I went on a cruise about 6 or 7 years ago. The ports were Key West and Cozemel only. There was a storm in the Carribean and it cancelled some ports. I felt safe, but back then there wasn't these disappearances we are seeing now a days.

That would probably be my luck--a big storm would come just as we were getting under way. LOL

Nope. I've never been on one. I don't have the desire to go on one either. I just can't stand the idea of not being able to walk on land for a couple of days. I've heard many good things about them, but I'll take a plane somewhere instead.

Thank you for giving us your opinion. A couple of days without touching land is a long time. Some people like the idea and others don't. I say planes are a very nice invention, but then some people are afraid to fly.

hamsters - I wanted to share the little guy with you he was wandering around lost so I took him in.
No I have never been on one and to hear about htem on television would scare you but if I was able I would just because I love boats and water.I was practically raised at the Ohio river in the summer time tge water and the wind as the boat just seem to glide across the water oh it was so fun.

I haven't been on a cruise yet, but I would like to go on a Caribbean cruise. My boyfriend wants to go on an Alaskan cruise....

My nephew and his wife just recently went on a Caribbean Cruise and said they had a wonderful time. I think an Alaskan cruise would be nice too just a little cooler perhaps?

Yes a six hour cruise to the Bahamas. I LOVED every minute of it. There was so much to do on the ship. I am planning another cruise in the near future. They had live entertainment, broadway shows, games on top of the deck with a live band. A swimming pool on the top deck. A casino on the lower decks. I felt very safe, never even thought about anything going astray.

Yes have been on several cruises. They are fantastic if the company you choose is reliable. There are lot of thongs to do on board...including games like tennis, snooker, swimming, water polo...and lots more. There are theatres to watch movies, there are lots of other fun things to do. I would go on cruise anytime.
