What happens when we die?

What do you believe happens when you die? I believe that if we've been good people in this life we get to go to heaven, and if we've been really bad then we get to go to hell. I think that there are things bad that we have done that we would be able to make up for though, so I don't think that just because we've done a couple of bad things would mean that we're going to hell. We still get a fair shot at heaven :) What do you believe happens when we die?
