I attended the seminar-workshop out-of-town for three days. That is three days far from my my wife and my kids. I learned some from the seminar, but my thoughts remain with my son who was confined in the hospital due fever and asthma. Though the seminar went on and my son checked-out by Thursday morning, it remain sad to hear that while I am about to arrive home, I was told by my wife that our son is now having loose-bowel-movement and vomits for several times. We stayed calmed and let him take some medicine to recover himself from the lost fluids. In the afternoon at 3, we bring him to the doctor so we can get some advise on how to treat his condition. The doctor said that his LBM and vomiting might be due to the medicine he had taken, so we have to stop giving him that one medicine and she replaced it with another one. I just hope he gets better tonight. (neildc @ red/89/1712)

Hi neildc. Sorry to hear your son still struggles to get well from his asthma and medicine side effects. That must be so very frustrating as there is alot of worry when kids are sick. Your doctor sounds like she knows what she is doing. I, too, hope your son is better at the time of this writing. Take care.

I am so sorry to hear that you son is still sick, neil! I see that you wrote this a day ago, so I am hoping that he is better by now. My youngest son had many allergies and frequently got asthma because of them. Whenever he would catch a cold or the flu, he would end up in the hospital or at the doctor's office. He often had all the symptoms you said your son has had. It was all caused by allergies. Does this sort of thing happen frequently to your son? I mean, does he have allergy/asthma symptoms often? That could be the entire problem. I can't say for certain, of course, because I'm not a doctor nor have I examined your son. But it might be worth looking into. Has you son gotten better since he went on the new medicine? My thoughts are with you, your son, and your family.

I hope your little boy gets better soon. It is very difficult to see our children sick and we can't make them well. We just feel hopeless when we can't control illnesses. From my own experience not all medication is the same. I'm assuming that his asthma medication is causing him to be ill. I know that it takes time to find the right one so keep praying and try to be patient
