Now, I'll be a class advisor of a elementary school, but I have no experience for just graduating from the college. Some people told me I must be strict with children and I can't laugh in front of them, however, I think I should teach them knowledge by love not just punishment, but they all tell me it won't work, right?

Hai w, I think you should follow your heart, remember your childhood in elementary, so you can feel their feelings about you, You can do it.

You need to set some house rules for them to follow. In that way, they will be informed about the punishments they will be getting upon making a mistake in class. Above all, it's better to be cheerful and happy with young students. It's better to instill in their minds that learning is indeed fun.

Well just keep in mind good mentoring. It's the way of teaching your class base on your experience when your still student. Ob course you know what are the good and bad things the common student does. Because you already experience all that. For that reason you know how and what to teach them base on your experience.

hmmm for me i think you should teach the kids through a strategy that would suit you and what would suit your students. if you think you should teach by heart then go for it. i think the students would learn more with this type of teaching rather than through punishments.
anyway you would never know the difference if you wouldnt try your own method. so if i where you proceed with what you think is best.
Goodluck and Godbless!
