My hair has always been more on the curly side than straight. I usually blow dry it and straighten it that way but my hand gets soooooooo tired because it does take about 30 to 35 min to doit all. And well if it´s a really hot day and i get all sweaty it tends to curl up really fast ,,,,,so all of my hard work for nothing.I went dancing the other night and it was raining,,,,everybody was woried about getting their shoes wet but i was mortified that my hair would get wet! So I just bought a new ceramic iron to straighten my hair.It works great! My hair even looks shinier and healthier that way. And the best part is that it only takes me around 15 min,,,,well first I have to wait for my hair to be completely dry, so that takes aroun 10min with a blowdryer. But now i´m wondering,,,,can I use it every day? Should I use any product to prevent damaging my hair with all that heat? Is it ok to use it that frequently?? I really would appreciate some info on this..Thanks

Lol, what some people would give to have curls;) But I can relate. You should discuss this with your hairdresser. There is a product that works similar to perms, except it straightens the hair instead of curling it. There are also relaxers you might be able to use. Any heat to your hair through blow drying, curling irons, or similar devices will dry and with each use slightly damage your air. It'll get more brittle. You will have to look for a product that will provide your hair with some moisture to make up for that. Again that is something you should discuss with your hairdresser.

I have the same problem as you do. My hair is curly as ever. Whn I get it wet it curles up even more. The same thing happens to me. I will sit a strighten out my hair and it takes forever to do. What I ended up doing is just having my friend/roommate strighten out my hair for me because she loves doing hair. What she does to my hair is uses olive oil an then ises a flat iron to strighten it out. So far that works for me and I havent had a problem with it. Hope this helps you I will be back on this topic just to see what others say. I am sre they will help me also.

It is probably drying for your hair and you will probably want to use a good quality conditioner and perhaps do an extra treatment of some kind about once a month - something like a moisturizing treatment that you leave on for a while.
