I am trying to drink more water, But my problem is that I love sodas to a fault. I am drinking more and more water everyday so that is a good thing. Are you making an effort to drink water? And what have you done to drink more?

I cut out drinking sodas many years ago and lost 15 lbs. within weeks. Now water is my soda. It is delicious with fresh lemon, lime or orange slices and much healthier for you. I call sodas "brown syrupy water" because that is what they are.

I really need to do what you are doing now. I seem to be addictive to sodas and can'r seem to stop with one. I am keeping your advice as I love lime, lemons and oranges. Thank you

I force myself to drink. Because of acne. I dont like when I have acnes and before while I am still in college, I am into sports and I drink a lot of water because my coach does not like us to drink sodas. And I never got so many acnes. Well I do have but like one or two only. So now, I am a graduate. I force myself to drink more. So I wont have many acnes again.

Great advice in avoiding acne and good coach. I believe sodas can be addictive and they are just full of sugar. Even tho I love them :)

Hi Shelly, I am not making an extra effort to drink more water but do drink water anyway. I very rarely drink sodas unless as a mixer in an alcholic drink but do drink a lot of tea which has water in it and squash too. Ellie :D

Tea is great, in my case once I start drinking sodas I can't seem to stop so I will stop by starting to drink water or coffee. I love tea but mostly in the winter.

Hi I am like myLotter Anne18 who first responded to your discussion, I work from home too and have a tupperware water bottle by my side all the time. It's a 2L tupperware bottle so will definitely fill it up like 2 times a day.

Yes, it is a good idea to keep water close by :)

I am a busy mother and sometimes forget to drink enough water. Therefore I make it a point to keep bottles everywhere around the house. On my computer desk, near the bed, next to the TV, Phone, in the kitchen. You will find a bottle very where. I have to do it because otherwise I end up getting dehydrated due to the heat here.

I bet, in here the heat was horrible yesterday and even with the water I took (like 4 glasses before 3) I felt bad after my walk. Good job reminding your self ;)

Nope, I am not making any effort to drink more water, or even water at all. I like my water mixed with coffee

That is good to know. I am keeping this morning a glass of water next to me and I have drank more water that way. SO it is a good idea.

I am not a water drinker. I have to force myself to drink it. I have started drinking flavored water that is carbonated. That is not so bad. At least I am making an effort, even if it is with something other than plain old water!

Flavored water is neat. I love vitamin water. I am glad that works for you.

I do drink a lot of water by default but, in a normal day, I think that I drink more coffee than water. About the soda issue, try to force yourself to just drink it on the weekends, like I do. This way, you can still have it, but you'll reduce the ammount. ^^ Make a little effort, then. Water is very good for our health. =)

I am going to follow your advice. My problem with soda is once I start, I am not happy with a can, I want to drink soda all night long. So that is not good. If it is a weekend treat, I can live with that :) thanks for the tip.

I know that I don't drink enough and I will try to make an effort to drink more once I am back at college after the summer holiday. I generally have 2 cups of tea a day and one big cup of fruit juice. As well as these, I have a water bottle which I take sips from throughout the day, whenever I get thirsty. I know I don't drink enough in general, and I will get it sorted out. It's so important to get enough water into your body!

Tea is great, no calories and it is a wonderful way to get water too. I believe you are doing a great job :)
