Are the myLot Reputation Rating and the Star Rating Unrelated?

I just saw at least two other users here who have the same myLot reputation as mine, that is, 95/100, but whose star is a blue 10, whereas I'm still stuck on a 9, as you can see. So my question is: how do the star ratings increase? And how are they different from the reputation rating? Please do enlighten me. Cheers.

There is a fine line between Star numbers. It is directly related to your reputation. Two people can both have a 95 and one person is a 9 and one is a 10. If one person is technically at 95.6 then it will still say 95, but they get a blue star. If the other has a 95.4 it will say 95, but they have a red.

I didn't even think about the fractional element until I read the other responders. But, I am sure that is the answer, it is a fraction of a point that makes the difference

I don't understand what it's for. LOL. I got a 9. So? What does it mean?
