Some have argued that the the media this year has a had a liberal itch. In that, the media has been fascinated with Senator Barack Obama, but less than enthused when it came to Senator McCain. Will the selection of Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin boost McCain's image with the media? You decide! http://sumpter-masterplan.blogspot.com

Until a little while ago, I'd have said there would be no way. The Dems were exciting because, for once, there were soe new ideas to examine. Well, McCain's choice of Ms. Palin as his VP nominee changes things. She's not only the first woman ... blah, blah, blah; she's interesting because hardly anyone knows anything about her. What a great idea McCain's campaign manager had! I wonder if the white-haired guy" is choking on that. He's not the most liberal of men, so he's obviously not going to find a female running-mate to be just one of those things!

I think yes. She brings a LOT to the table. I am very happy he chose her and I am really looking forward to the election now! I think it's great. The day after the DNC and the media is all over McCain and Palin!

I think you are right. I mean this would be history in the making by itself. Very smart choice by McCain. Now I will actually have something to listen to when it comes to this man. I mean, even when he was introducing her, I was bored. But just listening to her, she is exciting and engaing. A breath of fresh air for the McSame campaign.

I think she will help to breathe some life back into McCain's campaign and get the RNC more media coverage. There are a couple of good reasons for this. One she actually gave herself a pay cut while Mayor...we NEED more people like this in Washington. Maybe then we could actually begin to balance our budget! Also by choosing her, McCain made sure that there was a woman on the ticket - thus making this election of historical importance no matter which party wins. All things aside though, from what I have read about her so far, she will be a good choice and quite possibly a very strong VP.

I think you are right. I have never before been excited about the republican side of things, but for this one, I will actually sit and listen. I heard that Palin also decline the jet provided to her as the Governor by the state. That is the type of leadership in Washington we need.

She really has a chance to excite voters. Even though I was supporting McCain, even I found him boring. Sarah Palin is an exciting person that will likely garner much more attention both from voters and from the media. The liberal media however seems more interested in tearing her down than speaking about what a great choice she really was. I think you're also likely to see that democrats are not as big on women's equality if that woman is a conservative. I'd expect to see a lot of sexism coming from the dems side now.
