Have you ever scare men away?

I have a serious tendency of driving men away out of innocent jokes. I really wonder if it is just me, or there are other people around out there who scares men or women away. To give you an idea, i scare one man (that I like) away when I received a flower from him and had taken a photo of the flower with my friend and a message saying -- my friend is thanking you for the flowers. Seriously, I thought it was funny to a point of thinking that he will send me another bunch of flowers with a message -- since the last bunch did not reach your vase, here is another one. Holy molly, I think my brainwaves funs differently because I literally scare him off after that. Am I the only one?
