hi dear kushank55 yes the floods have been really devastating i am really sorry at the plight of the people and the sufferings they are through. the government machinery has failed to come up to their rescue and all efforts just do not appear to be of any help to the needy in their most diffiult hour!! many ladies , the elderly and children are in another danger of falling sick now when the water receeds!! they have already lost their homes , cattle and belongings. a very very difficult situation!! only GOD can give them courage to pass through this bad phase!!

yes dear juhi06. well said . the people are suffering a lot and there is no respite in sight in the near future! though the government machinery and the army authorities have been pressed into service yet the volume of assistance being provided is inadequate!!and a lot is to be done before they can feel comfortable!!

yes dear pehpot. this question is not to scare you about the situation . byt to reflect the feeling that is generated among the people who are really caught in the real life situation!!all of them have small kids , the elderly parents , pregnant wives and what not!!and are braving the onslaught and fury of nature!!

YES DEAR KARMENDRA . such situations are called calamities and no body welcomes them. they are forced on us by nature!like thirty lacs people caught unawares in water . their houses are no where and their cattle. and their kids without food for days together!!but such situations teach us important lessons about unity, life humanity and let us feel about our strengths and weeknesses!!

Hi, Kushankji, I always used to think this way... In pune few years ago the whole place was flooded.. the time when i was not born. now we have shifted to a highted place so that we can be safe if such situation comes.. I have seen the people from bihar they dont have shelter, food, no water to dirnk. and any help from the govt. feel sad and helpless.. hope this doesnt happne to anyone..

yes dear yogesh ji . floods are a natural phenomenon all over the globe!! where ever rivers are around after rainy season they will have enough water to flood the areas and these floods bring mass devastations. controlling these damage requires huge investments and great planning but alas corruption at all levels does not allow any fruitful results!!even in this case the dam which should have been repaired and reinforced was not attended to and brought this mass destruction!!well the human factor!!

i am sorry, i have not yet faced such a situation in life, not any disasters so far...so, i have least ideas of how to go about it....of course, would try to help myself and my family and then help all the others who are in need to whatever extent i can

yes dear sharay it will be great not to find one self in such a grave situation. but i never meant that you presume yourself as one of the sufferers . one may be in the area and in the authority position to help others.people feel selfish about themselves and their own families but when it comes to helping others they seem to forget everything else!!

We can never control any disaster.I think all i can do is to pray because only God has the power to stop them.
