indoctrination, teaching the vlaues that your company stood for, and what it aims to achieve, introducing staff to newcomers, saying please and thanx, is it all necessary these days, after all who cares, as long as the pay check comes in

I have noticed a lot of ettiqute in the office has gotten lax, I still expect my employees to be courteous and to call me by my last name and use titles like sir. It is also nice to see them teat each other with the same respect but I will not be so forceful to see them do that unless I start to get complaints about it.

For some it could work especially for the ones who are in for the money alone. But for some, just like me, they want a good working environment. It isn't good usually to just come in work and then go home. Wait for the paycheck and then work again. Especially for someone new. If he/she doesn't feel welcome at all in a company and no support is given, it would be hard for that person to stay. Values make a company a better place to work in. It is evident in how we interact with our co-workers who we stay with most of the time during the day than at home (while we're awake that is).

Hi there Knight Rider! Well, to others, it may not seem to be important anymore but I believe that it is if you would like to have a good working atmosphere between you and your co-workers as well as between you and your employers or employees.
