when on long travel are you comfortable sleeping during the travel? or if you drive long how do you manage to keep awake? My family loves to travel but since I often sit with my husband (as he drive) I can't afford to sleep even if I want because it would cause him to be sleepy and one time when we were traveling I was sleepy and I just doze off even if I don't want to. Have you tried being awake during travels? or you sleep immediately whn the engine starts?

During my travel and it's my husband whose driving, I am avoiding falling asleep because I want my husband to have someone he could always talk with during the travel. That way I could help him overcome drowsiness while travelling. I could imagine how hard it is if the Driver is the only one awake while all the rest of his passengers are asleep and some are even snoring. That would induce the Driver to fall asleep as well and accident normally happens in such a situation. So when it is my husband who drives, I never sleep. I want to be his souce of strength during the travel. We frequently go to far places like Sorsogon, Ilocos Norte, Mountain Province during vacation time and oh it would be so long a travel and all through the long hours I keep myself awake. However, if it is not husband who drives, I always sleep as often as my eyes wanted to but I also would not want to miss the scenery around.

long drives keep me drowsy but I know we have to sacrifice for the our hubby. but if you are going North it is easy not to fall asleep, with the scenery and mountains and beach, oh wow. when we go north, I usually feel sleepy from expressway to Pangasinan, but after that, comes mountains and beaches and good merchandise on the road, I can't take my eyes off the road!

Oh yes, I can never forget the clear beaches I saw in Ilocos and the beautiful waterfalls and rice terraces on the way to Sagada. They are magnificent and ohhs and ahhs were the only words that came out of my mouth. Those were wonderful experiences. And buying the native delicacies there really made my day.

I don't sleep during travel.I am such a paranoid person.I am afraid that I will miss the scene and probably paranoid that somebody might be with us perhaps a bad guy inside the bus.If riding a car.I still don't sleep bec. I don't want the driver to get sleepy too.I talk to the person who is driving.

I am 'able' to sleep during travel, but I rarely do. I once drove for 12 hours with only a few 15 minute 'leg-stretch' breaks in between, but I would never do it again. I should never have attempted it in the first place.

Any engine has a soporific effect on me. When I was a kid, I would fall asleep as soon as the driver started the bus and miraculously wake up when it reached my home. I hardly travel now, but I had to take a few train journeys a year back, and I remember I slept well. I love sleeping in trains and buses. I get the sweetest sleep ever!! Cheers and happy mylotting

I am enjoying rides especially if that meant getting out of the city and going through provinces. In long travels, I don't sleep when we are travelling to go to the place because I like to admire sceneries we are passing through while travelling but when we are travelling to be back in the city, I am taking a sleep on the way because I am tired. I don't really have to be on guard or to keep myself awake because we are on our own vehicle and we have drivers ready to change with each other when the other one gets tired.

Hi pehpot, I always find it hard to get some sleep while travelling! It doesn't matter if I'm in the car, train, plane my eyes will be wide open all the time! This is a big problem of mine! Sometimes it's a long trip and I can't even have a nap.
