It makes you wonder whose country it is. I wouldn't go along with that. Would we all have to learn Spanish then? That is just too absurd to even think about.

I say if you are in Mexico then yes in spanish it should be. But if you are in the USA the NO NO NO!!!!! If I was going to another country and couldn't speak the lanuage I would get me a guide or learn it. If you are coming to America then learn the lanuage. Just like if you were going to any other country learn the lanuage if you are going to live there. If I was going to Mexico I would learn to speak spanish. When I lived in California I got to where I could understand some of it when it was spoken but I been away from it for 3 years moved to SC so I can't even remember half of what I knew. lol When in Rome do as the Romans do.

I don't see any problem with that. Here in Canada we sing the national anthem (O Canada) in English (9 provinces and 2 territories) and French (Quebec, the 10th Province, and a French speaking one at that). In the old Soviet Union, their anthem was translated into the languages of 15 different Soviet republics.

I'm so sorry for coming in so late. However, I can't comment much on this issue as I live in India. But In India, in spite of many official languages in every state, national anthem is only one and in one language.

I think NOT! This is America - we speak ENGLISH! If someone wants to live in American, they need to learn to speak ENGLISH - not the rest of us learn to speak their language!

Who has suggested this? I heard something about this about a year ago, but it was a hoax, I believe. At any rate, I don't think we should change it, but at the same time, if they're for us, then they're not against us, right? So, if they believe in the sentiment in the anthem, whether it's in Spanish or English, then they're on our side. That's better than the alternative.
