I have a fair amount of trouble getting my MyLot responses to look neat when I post them. I don't like to post copy that doesn't look tidy. Does anyone else have this problem? Do you find yourself having to edit your responses multiple times to make them look decent? Is there a trick to it?

Hi circumfelt I normally read my response before sending it as sometimes type it too fast but as well I look at the keyboard to make sure that I am typing the right keys..littleowl

Thanks, littleowl. My problem isn't spelling, it is more of a layout problem as I want my responses to look neat the tidy the way they lay on the page when I post and sometimes they are all over the page and I have to edit them quite a bit to produce a copy that looks good to me.

I am going this first on Word, to see if I can understand why you do not post neat copy. I do find when I post directly on myLot, that I tend to run the sentences together, but if I copy from Word, I am more careful as I can see the ideas and also I do not feel constrained by the limitations of the box.
However with Word, I do not like Times New Roman, the default format, and with the box on myLot, it looks like typewriting to me and is easier. So that might be the problem, if you could change the default format to Courier, it would be easier to format it to look good.
But when you do post into the box, I noticed that what paragraph indentations I made have been done away with. With the box, I can space a couple from the beginning of the paragraph or can put a space between them, so I am going back to the beginning and do the five space thing. But I notice there is little improvement, so I will put a space between the paragraphs and see if it helps.
That's much better.

Thanks for your suggestions, suspenseful. I haven't tried the word processor before.

Editing them several times is what it takes. There is no easy way. I have tried writing them in a word processor then cutting and pasting, but that is even more work.

Thanks for your advice. I have been editing a lot and that's why I wondered if there was an easier way to do it. Editing slows down the posting on MyLot considerably for me, but I guess it is a part of life.

What in goodness name are you talking about?
You type. You hit enter.
Huh?
And why are you posting this in a discussion area about politics? I'm more concerned about that than I am in the 'tidiness' of your post.
